Good Location, Parking was Straight forward, Nice Bar area and restaurant that does a great breakfast with a lot of options. Overall the Hotel is fine and up to scratch with very helpful and friendly staff. The room was comfortable and had all facilities you need, but I feel like hotel in general it needs some renovation ad TLC. When working near that part of London this works for me as the onsite parking and access to local amenities is essential.

First night we froze in our room. Worked with staff to fix the issue to no avail. They said they reset the heat and they messed with the controls in the room, all of which did nothing. They offered a space heater which they never brought. I had to ask multiple times for another blanket. Jacob at the front desk did offer to comp the first night and said he'd switch us to a heated room. The new room still had no functional heater, but they did bring in a space heater. Why they didn't just bring the space heater to the first room I'll never understand--at least we were in a warm room finally. But the rest was awful too: the bed was way too firm, the pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. There was a sign that offered feather pillow substitutes, but naturally, they were out of those. The comforter was not wide enough for the bed. There was no refrigerator in the room so bringing leftovers and cold drinks to the room was not an option, nor was there an ice dispenser. One of two elevators was broken for over half our stay. They are advertised as a "3-star hotel" on Hotels.com. This hotel failed to provide the comfort that I would expect from a freeway motel, let alone a 3-star hotel. Hotels.com ought to re-evaluate whether this hotel deserves to be listed on their site and Holiday Inn ought to consider whether or not this hotel truly meets the standards they are trying to set. Either way, I won't likely stay at a Holiday Inn again, and I will be more cautious using Hotels.com.

This was our second stay after our unfortunate first stay. Sadly, we had already paid months in advance so it was impractical to cancel and switch hotels. Same problems as before: there was no functioning heat in the room, the bed is hard as a rock, and the pillows are lumpy and uncomfortable. This time they gave us a handicap room for some reason, in spite of having a reservation for a room months in advance. So we were dodging red strings hanging from the ceiling, presumably attached to alarms, and the shower had no walls on it. As a result, the bathroom floor became very wet and was quite slippery and dangerous. And in winter when the temp is around 40 F outside, no functioning heater and a single blanket that is one size too small for the bed is not great. It claims to be a 3-star hotel. They don't even have a mini-fridge in the room to keep beverages and food cold--that's my first hotel I've ever been in that didn't have a small refrigerator in it. I could never recommend this hotel to anyone. There are just too many problems.

Heating didn't work. Was given a portable heater. No cabinets or drawers for clothes nor in the bathroom for toiletries. No room no checks done for breakfast service. Anybody could've wandered in. I stayed at 2 HI Express in UK and both were of the same quality. No more HI Express!

The manager Ozman is amazing and so are some of his staff. The breakfast spread is good but they repeat the exact same menu every single day. The rooms are super tight and small. The sofa bed has a very very soft mattress. Nobody (kids) above the weight of 30 kgs should try and sleep on it as it’s very uncomfortable. If you’re attempting to have 2 kids sleep on the sofa bed , good luck. They qualify this super small room as a family room and expect to keep 2 adults and 2 children comfortably - which isn’t the case. This property is aged, several rooms didn’t have their central air conditioning working. It’s more about the property, but some of the staff are super helpful and nice - shout out to Ozman , Chris and Karina. On the other hand a receptionist by the name of Fahad was rude and unwelcoming , try and avoid him if you can. The hotel is located very close to the bus stand and train station which is helpful. Do not expect any amenities here as they don’t have a gym or pool.

Booked a week before arrival. Put on booking that needed a cot in the room. Called ahead that morning to make sure it would be in the room as we were arriving late. Was assured it would be. Checked in and asked if the cot was in the room. Told yes, he could see my note and that I had called so it would be in there. Went in the lift to the 4th floor. Really strong smell of cannabis on leaving the lift. Got to the room, no cot! Tried to call reception but numbers on the tag on the (filthy) phone have worn so couldn’t tell if I was ringing front desk. No answer. Went down, poor guy was very apologetic. The other went up to resolve the cannabis issue. Was told 15 mins for the cot. 35 mins later, still nothing so husband went down to chase. Was offered a free drink. Nice touch but just ensure the customers requests are read and actioned before they arrive. Finally got the cot. Went to the loo and the smell of urine in the bathroom was vile! By this point we were accepting that this was clearly the standard of hotel we had booked. Lesson learnt. Never again! No plugs by bedside tables. Lighting really poor in the room. Room was freezing. The breakfast was pretty good, very busy but staff were working hard to meet the demand. Checked out. Weren’t asked if we had a pleasant stay…probably because everyone says no!

Hotel was fine. Nice staff. Location ok once we had figured out trains and buses as there is no tube station close by. However, we would think twice about staying here again due to the lack of breakfast items. We arrived 1 hour before the end of breakfast and both days many items had run out abd were intermittently refilled only only to instantly disappear again. We did not have a full breakfast either day. The juice was watered down and the coffee unpleasant
