Lift not working and being situated on 5th floor is not good, i wonder how long it had been out of order for

The lift was out of order. Untidy communal areas, the room was clean.

Reception staff warm and welcoming very helpful when we asked directions etc returned evening bar man was very professionally friendly and nothing was a problem to him just overall great hotel experience x

Convenient for where I was going ( Venue 23 ) .. loads of bars around . Was a little noisy late at night .. didn’t bother me though. Breakfast wasn’t the best .. cheap ingredients … awful sausages !!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Bed was super soft but not that comfortable as in saggy. Curtains slightly loose just need 5 mins maintenance. Paid for on site parking. Staff made the stay. Top team.

A city central location, but the bed was very uncomfortable. The free breakfast was, however, a nice touch.

whist the room was nice and clean, the bed mattress was not even fit for the skip super soft when we advise the reception who was non plus in the morning, they said we should have reported that night However, when we checked in we were told the hotels was very busy and as we went to out to eat and only found out how dead soft the mattress was at 10:30pm just had to make most of a bad night sleep situation

Second visit to this hotel this year, staff friendly, location is great for train station.

Bedroom carpet needed a good clean, breakfast was cold

Good stay but parking can make a bit more sense. When I triedto extend my parking at reception I was told I should have come down to do so at the exact time the previous 24hours elapsed. Does that make any sense that I should interupt my sleep and come down at 4.30am to extend my parking and not at 9am when I came down for breakfast

Excellent location. Clean and good service. However beds uncomfortable and breakfast underwhelming.

Cheap and cheerful, the bed was ridiculously soft and the extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work. Room was initially set up for 1 person (1 towel, glass, milk etc) and reception staff wouldn’t accept this to begin with, however we returned from a night out to find a mountain of towels and a dairy farm’s worth of milk. Good breakfast and cheerful staff. Would stay again.

Never used holiday inn before, very surprised and would use again, breakfast excellent and plenty of choice

The heating did not work freezing cold

Beds comfy, shower great, breakfast good. Bit tired and creaky floors but also good location as very central. Staff were lovely. Good for the price we paid.

the place is used for housing down and outs

Mixed bag - friendly welcome but the double room booked was not available and we ended up with a twin. The room was ok but the carpet needed a good clean and vacuum, as did the hallways, also the lift was dirty. I like a holiday inn express because of the inclusive breakfast, this was available 6.30 - 9.30 but when we arrived at 8.30 there was limited availability. Car parking good but arrive early as limited spaces, location of the hotel very good.

I was poorly and staff let me stay extra 2 hrs past check out to help me. Very kind

stayed 2 nights, breakfast was good value, bedroom comfortable but unfortunately the bathroom door was well worn and didnt close without a loud noise!
