Kings Chamber, Doncaster by Marston's Inns

No hot water during our stay due to boiler issues. Unable to shower during overnight stay.

We checked in at 2 but had to wait until 3 in the restaurant with one complimentary drink. The room was clean and functional however the bed was VERY firm and we did wake with some aches and pains.

Quiet and safe for a solo female traveller. Clean room. Mattress was firm but I slept well.

Great location, ample free parking comfortable food average. Staff really helpful and friendly

This wasnt my 1st stay here, and the last time the twin room i had had 2 3 foot beds in it, but this time it was 2 2 foot 6inch beds (i suspect a king ziplock bed, but not sure). Had an awful nights sleep, almost fell out the bed and from then every time i turned over i woke up checkin i wasnt goin to fall out. Dont know why these beds were different from the last time, but ill not be stayin in them again, shame as the 1st time was great

Check was quick. Staff were nice and freindy. Room was clean and had a quiet night's sleep. Will book again.

Excellent accommodation and handy to rhe motorway

Loud bangs and sounded like bottles breaking at around 5.30am - 6am kept us awake after getting in very late from the hospital. We must have missed the room refresh because of that we only had used towels and no toilet paper, we only had 1 to start with 3 people so we had to buy our own, carpet had marks on it, needs replaced to be honest. Staff at the Marston’s were great & really good food, did report our problems twice to the assistant manager and then the manager did write and ask our issues which we detailed back to him but never got a response back, so I did go back and try and find him to tell him, but he wasn’t there. He left a message on our exit day to meet at 9.30am but as we explained we were at the hospital a lot for my mum.

Very clean,comfortable. Restaurant on site kfc & McDonald’s next door even an Aldi too

Place was convenient to get to places good price Clean room But a big negative was Allowing people to smoke by the front door The smell to walk through it was horrible and it smelt in the Front foyer Plus our room was right next to the front door and you could smell smoke through the window even with it shut I have breathing problems and this was horrible

Friendly staff, easy early check-in. Simple clean room. I’d definitely recommend.

All good but shame they wanted to charge me at breakfast for a green tea bag as it’s classed as a premium drink.

Very suitable for a stopover convenient to motorway. It is not luxurious , but perfectly adequate facilities, bed very comfortable. Probably our mistake but we found ourselves in a first floor room with no lift in the hotel. We shall need to be more careful in future. Easy booking system .

Good location, good sized room and comfy bed. Friendly staff. Not sure if the bathroom fan was working, which gave the bathroom a bit of a stale smell. The pub/restaurant was good. Overall we would consider staying again if we were in the area.
