Leonardo Hotel Chester

Efficient and polite reception staff. Good sized, well fitted out room, only complaint would be breakfast service, not as attentive as they could be.

Very easy check in best nights sleep we had for a long time .

Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and well presented. Great location for shops, pubs and restaurants. Very reasonable parking virtually next door.

We arrived and were allocated a room on the first floor, overlooking the front of the hotel. As we put clothing away I noticed female underwear, socks and a corset clearly left within the drawer. I couldn't tell if these were dirty or not so closed the drawer and returned to reception. In fairness, the reception clerk was apologetic and offered a replacement room. This was along the corridor and overlooking the kitchen fan, which although not really noisy did transmit low frequency humming throughout the night. The hotel is tired, it appeared that this was previously a Premier Inn, same carpets and bedroom furniture. Our furniture was marked with a clear lacquer which had set solid on the surface top. Marks on the wallpaper etc only sought to add to the feeling of a tired hotel. The only redeeming feature was the shower power which was next level, albeit the mould on the tiles and door was far from perfect. Location wise, this is situated in a briliant area, close to the town centre. We parked at Little Roodee car park, 10 min walk away. This is a council run parking lot and is very secure. For 3 nights, 4 days out cost us £33, great value. We didn't breakfast here, £16 if you attend without booking, booking the previous day this drops to £13. However, nearby are some great cafes, Zanger and Marmalade, great value as well. We loved Chester, great city and we will return. Next time we won't be going to Leonardo Chester, unless it is refurbished.

The hotel is a nice hotel in a good location, unfortunately the breakfast lets the venue down, we stayed for two nights each morning the breakfast was cold with limited availability of the items included in the buffet, we did bring this to the attention of the receptionist who informed us we were not the first to complain. We intended to have a drink at the bar during the evening the drinks were so limited we didn't bother, these things were very disappointing.

Great central hotel. Reception staff very friendly. Room was clean and bed very comfortable.

The location of the hotel was perfect for a Christmas shopping weekend, Christmas market was in an easy walking distance..

It's fine. Decent city centre hotel, on the street, starved to the shopping centre.

The bed was really comfy My biggest issue was that the bin had not been emptied from the previous occupant..

Staff were excellent, friendly and professional. We will return to the hotel next time we visit family and friends in Chester.

Lovely hotel, perfectly situated. All staff polite & helpful. The bathroom needs an update, but everything else was great. Super comfy beds

Room was clean and comfortable. Shower was ok but would have preferred a walk-in rather than the over-bath which was tricky to climb out of. Buffet breakfast was ok but evening meal options were limited.

Good location and friendly reception staff but housekeeping very poor. Did nothing other than make the bed. Rubbish not taken, nothing wiped down. Water not replenished (perk of superior room but had to ask reception ourselves each day). Room also very small for a ‘superior room’

Good friendly check in, room clean and tidy. Bathroom needs some attention, towel rail fell to bits and there was no obvious extraction of steam. The room for us was too warm overnight. Breakfast good.

reception checked someone into our room when we where already in the room and issued keys to them we got a shock when they opened the bedroom door as did they,this raised a security issue for us.If we had not stsyed here many times we would have been very concerned and annoyed.
