Always comfortable

Location is good for the nearby golf club. The room was dirty, from the bed sheets to lights, bathroom and stains on the cushions. The room ketttle had a layer of some brown substance. Thankfully we just stayed one night. We did have dinner in the restaurant before inspecting the room and the dinner was okay.

Enjoyed a quiet stay

I stayed here for 4 nights over New year in a prestige room. I do not recommend. The reception, bar and restaurant looked modern, new and pretty clean. When I got to the room, there was only 1 chair (should have been space for 2 to sit, and then I also noticed a dangerous half fallen shelf in the bathroom, which could have caused injury. The room we changed to had more furniture (like a place for 2 people to sit instead of just one) but unfortunately also had a sunken/damaged mattress, old food on the floor, no soap and the coffee machine was out of order and stank (previous occupants seemed to have added milk to the water reservoir instead of water, which had gone off inside the machine!). All these things were found out gradually. The prestige room came with included items from the minibar; a KitKat, a mars bar and 2 miniature cans of coke. Which to say that it was a bit of a let down with what was expected would be na understatement. (Expedia booking Photo suggests wine compared to a standard or deluxe room). I would never think of a mars bar as the pinnacle of prestige. Summary: The breakfast was pretty good (3.5/5). The reception and bar staff were good (4.5/5). I requested a mattress encasement and did get this, so that was good. However the room was just awful and not worth the price considering the quality of the experience. (1.5/5)

We booked a standard room, but none available when we arrived so we were upgraded.we were told there was a fridge, but this did not work so one was brought to us from reception - we were supplying the wine for lunch so needed it cold!

I've stayed here a few times in the Privilege room. Nice king-size (6ft) bed, sofa and fridge. The jacuzzi-bath is nice at this time of year (although the bathroom could do with updating, and the shower glass/panel is bizarre). Good breakfast and nice bar. My only real issue is the water fountain. If you're going to install one, at least make it proper filtered/bottled water, that has a good flow. This one seems to be just chilled tap water that flows so slowly it takes about 5 minutes to fill a water bottle. Very frustrating.

Very comfortable, room wasn't as nice as last time we stayed last year. No carpet in the room and floor looked like it hadn't been hoovered or mopped in the room. The coffee pods we got more decaf ones then regular. Other than that was clean and comfortable and perfect for what we needed.

Firstly I have stayed here before and never had a problem. On this occasion the hallways were dirty, dirty plates outside the rooms (at 4in the afternoon) we then noticed sharp part in the mattress that were a problem trying to sleep on. The final issue we can across was the hairdryer, it was not working. We tried to call reception but the phone didn’t work. So my partner went down to reception to get one we tried this one and it didn’t work. We tried it in multiple plugs even at reception still didn’t work. The reception guy then told my partner housekeeping would bring a hairdryer to the room. We waited until 12 when we had to check out and we had no dryer brought to us. My partner had to leave the hotel with wet hair on a stormy cold day. Really not impressed.

Very good hotel with excellent and helpful staff. The room was actually very nice, It was in excellent condition and had everything you would need. But was completely let down by probably the worst beds we have ever attempted to sleep on. They were so hard that we struggled to sleep. We would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor and, so as you can imagine this really spoilt the whole experience. As for breakfast it was good but would have been better to have had a choice of eggs other than powdered scrambled. Shame we will need to choose a different hotel next time.

Nice overnight stay in a very comfortable hotel at a very good price. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that
