The room was freezing when we entered the room but soon warmed up when we closed the window and put the radiator on. The bed was comfortable with good quality linen. Staff on reception especially Nathan was very helpful. I didn't like it that housekeeping was banging on the door at 9.40am when I was getting dressed. They should have waited till 10am when we would have vacated the hotel!

The bathroom was smaller than expected and the shower temperatures were chaotic. Despite this, the hotel is above the average hotel with lots of space in the general and function rooms, and the menu is excellent and delivers quality at a good price. Very friendly staff too!

room is large and nicely decorated, lots of dead flies on window. the shower was either too hot to the point of scolding or freezing cold, very difficult to regulate. Electric Towel radiator connection broke , revealing bare wires. limited hot water for the bath. Car parking at rear of hotel very limited and extremely tight. stairway to rooms feels dated and not helpful for people who are disabled, the hotel was locked at 11 pm on a Saturday night , bar was closed ,the menu is very basic. on the good side the staff are very polite and helpful. breakfast was good. the downstairs bars and other rooms are nicely decorated .

I found this to be a strange little hotel. It is an odd design with some rooms that are located outside of the main building. This necessitates walking some distance on the main street and several flights of stairs.
Reception is not 24 hours so this is not ideal for late arrivals or early departures as it means walking on your own for some distance in the middle of night.
The main good thing about the hotel is the friendly and accommodating staff.

My welcome at the hotel was excellent, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, even walking me to the door to explain how to access part of the hotel. Breakfast was great and again very friendly staff. It was available at the time I booked it. I would come back. Thanks for making me so welcome.

No bedside lights in the room , only the ceiling light.
Breakfast was good, bed comfortable. Small shower room but acceptable. Overall ok for the price
