Service was exceptional, from check in to the gentleman running the breakfasts.
Room was tired, but comfortable. Nice bed and lovely touches such as fresh milk, nespresso machine and great quality biscuits.
Bathroom was freezing and tired, but fine and a nice warm shower.
I didn’t eat in the restaurant, but based on the breakfast I wish I did. Fantastic eggs Benedict cooked to order and a wonderful selection of great quality food to pick from the buffet section. Server for breakfast was friendly, professional and incredibly efficient.
Overall this hotel was great value for money.

River view room very comfortable. Shower good. Fresh milk provided in flask, generous amounts of tea and coffee provided. Breakfast very good.

Booking in at reception was nearly 15 minutes waiting in a queue , therefore not a great start after driving nearly 2 hours.
The room was adequate and the bed was comfortable. However, most parts of the hotel was very tired , with stained carpets and chipped paint work, obviously once a more grand hotel.
Our meal was very dissappointing which thankfully we were charged. The bar and waiting staff were very nice however and we did enjoy our drink near the fire on such a cold night.

Hotel would be better with a lift.

Shower in room 39 had a very bad smell of mold. Fan was running when I arrived. Also, water pressure was very low and sometimes didn't even come on.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Hot water ran out after a few minutes in the shower, then a few minutes later all the water turned off in the shower. I complained to the management but they were really rude and ignored me totally. Since I had prepaid for the room I had no recourse. I highly recommend you not include this hotel in your offering.

The Bell is a sensible choice at the heart of Sandwich, good location, lots of parking, always buzzy with the bar and the food is reliable. Rooms are a little tired but bed is comfy and the shower is hot. Stayed in the summer and without air con the rooms get stuffy - I have stayed a few times - and you have to leave the windows open which means the seagulls wake you early. I will definitely stay again.

Lovely large room facing river. Arrived just as a wedding party had arrived for reception, however staff brilliant and helped us check in super quick. Parking close and can purchase from hotel for 4pm to 10am which significantly cheaper. Breakfast lovely too, will definitely stay again. Great nights sleep as not as noisy as other hotels. Thank you

Arrived around 10:30pm, guy who was meant to check me in left via the back door. I was checked in by bar staff, handed a key and had to find my way through a series of doors and stairs. Old creaky hotel with no soundproofing to room next door with noisy tv and snoring person, not worth £187
