Had a lovely night thank you

The main reason for staying in Village is the gym and this one was fine and not too busy so all good. Friendly staff also.

Very good. The staff were all very busy, but bent over backwards to help. Loads of facilities on site. The Pub and Grill serves fantastic food and service was quick. It is very busy, so the pool, breakfast, and restaurant feels crowded, but it’s still fantastic for the price you pay for a night. We’ll be back.

Staff where very friendly

Pleasant hotel. Good bar and great food with reasonably priced drinks. Rooms are big and very clean, decent bathroom and good showers. The bed was very firm which on a personal preference was too firm for me and the pillows we very very lumpy but that was the only negative.

Receipts are sent by email but i could not get a receipt for charges to my 2nd room booked. When i phobed reception for a receipt they was adamant I get it from Hotels.com eventhough i tried to explain this was for drinks charged to this room. The system a village hotel is poor in that it will allow this or a procedure should be explained on check in to the 2nd person who has not paid for the room. Didnt like their attitude.

Having stayed in this hotel many times over the past 30 years i never thought it possible to ruin such a good hotel with decoration..... Entering the property from the road it looks like a lovely country hotel with ample parking and beautiful grounds, what you would expect from the Village group Then you enter what was once a magnificent reception area with great staff all of whom always done their best to make us feel welcome etc Well some idiot at Village has had an idea to change the interior into a Balamory theme park Never in my life have i seen so many colours along one bedroom walkway It doesn't look ludicrous it looks far worse than that The bedrooms have had a YMCA face lift, cheap and nasty springs to mind Nowhere to put suitcases, coat hangers from the teletubbies website The room we were in which was 357 gave a new meaning to minimalistic The paintwork was all marked and it has just been done so what will it look like in 6 months The (restaurant) has been gifted a family feel with some very odd helter skelter commanding the centre of the room, the tables and chairs are out of some backstreet cafe i mean it looks ludicrous I did read it was to give a family atmosphere well they have failed, it looks like a kids funhouse Mentioning kids, it must be the norm to allow them to run up and down shouting at the top of their voices everywhere you go they are there screaming No reception as such just a serve yourself box where customers are left to sign in themselves

Love the hotel as a whole and overall will definitely be coming back. It’s in a beautiful spot. However the bed was very firm x

Facilities are very good. We enjoyed the pool and gym. Although a little overcrowded. Some regular members aren’t very courteous when it comes to sharing the sauna / hot tub. Rooms were pretty basic but clean. No fridge, and only three hangers. Housekeeping service could be more attentive. Didn’t refresh tea/coffee, and left dirty dishes in the room. Breakfast was very salty. Overall, was OK for the price. Service felt a little sterile, no reception, no in room phone, instead left texting a robot on WhatsApp.

Stained carpet Bathroom plug in the sink and shower dirty with limescale Cabinet with TV on had dust on and around it

Excellent stay only one fault I stayed for 2 days on returning the 2nd day found they had not refilled the tea coffee etc I know it’s only a small issue but working well in to the morning warm drinks are a comfort

MODREN HOTEL, EVERYTHING GREAT APART FROM ONLY ONE SIDE OF BED HAS PLUGS. I wasn't ABLE TO CHARGE MY PHONE ALL NIGHT AND MY WIFE'S PHONE WAS 100 PERCENT AS SHE'S GET THE PRIORITY LOL.
