It’s always lovely to stay at The Warbrook. On this occasion however there was a wee problem with the heating over the Saturday & into Sunday. This wasn’t immediately apparent as it was so very cold outside. On returning to the hotel during the Saturday evening it was our intention to relax in the bar area. This wasn’t possible because it was so cold. We went to our room and got into bed instead.
On Sunday morning having had a cold night the hot buffet breakfast offerings, although beautifully cooked were cold despite the warming unit being on. The restaurant area was also cold.
It wasn’t so much that there was a problem with the heating, these things happen, it was that nobody said anything. Customer’s expectations aligned? Sadly not.
The Warbrook House Hotel is a lovely place to stay. We’ve been there before and we’re already booked in for our next visit. If they are experiencing any issues on our next visit we can only hope they’re open about it as then and only then can we, as the guests, work out what we can do to make our stay as pleasurable as possible.

It's in a lovely setting but our room was a fair way from the hotel facilities, our bathroom was tired, missing a sink plug, the main room was clean, bright and the bed was warm and comfortable

Stunning location for weddings. The hotel itself is full of character and quirkiness. However the rooms are cold, toilets don’t flush properly and there is no gym.

Beautiful house with amazing grounds. Our room was comfortable but tired. What let it down for us was the service. The reception staff were fabulous but we had a long wait at the bar to get a drink on the evening of our arrival and had to approach three staff before one of them came to serve. The breakfast service was also very poor and the buffet breakfast was lukewarm at best. It’s such a shame as we stayed here about a year ago and it was much better then.

Have stayed here several times before and the beds have always been comfortable… however, on this occasion the bed seemed to be a small double with an inclination to roll into the middle! Other than this, all was as usual top class… and breakfast was delicious

We stayed in the grange which was a good 5 minute walk from the main hotel people walking on the road as no footpath. Our room was cold on arrival as heating had been turned down. The water was lukewarm which made the experience of showering and drying in the cold room uncomfortable.
The mattress was very firm and the pillows not comfortable.
We stayed for a murder mystery event at the hotel which wasn't very organised with one of our party being placed on a different table. We managed to sort this with another couple who had also been placed separately swapping our seats. We had to move our table to allow another table and chairs to be added as a party hadn't been added to the guest list.
The room was very noisy and it was difficult to hear the actors. We did however enjoy the evening and the actors did their best to be heard often having to repeat their lines.

Nice Hotel in lovely grounds. Good they do reasonably priced single rooms for business trips. Excellent breakfast. At reception they did say the bar would be open until 11.30pm but last orders was 10.30pm and they refused to serve a couple that came in at 10.35pm, so be warned.

The room itself was clean, and thats where it ends, the rest was disgusting from the entrance through the not a hotel to the bar, sticky, dirty, really disgusting and noisy. The staff were pleasant enough.

Truly disappointed with what looked a nice place to stay. I was placed in the Grange, 80 odd bedrooms, and a few hundred yards from the main building. Not enough parking spaces on hard standing without going on the grass which was waterlogged. The toilet was disgusting, brown under the waterline and wouldn’t flush. Not acceptable. A big stain on the carpet in the room. No staff at the reception in the Grange meaning you had to go to the main reception a few hundred yards away. The door I had to use to get into the Grange wouldn’t close and there was a post it note on an inner door saying don’t close as the cleaner was the only person with a key. The rest was average without being special. When I handed the key back I told the receptionist of the problems and she said a member of the management would contact me. Needless to say they haven’t. I loved the peace and quiet and it felt really private and a real escape from the everyday x
On the practical side, there were 2 of us in a Standard double room - very pleasant. However there was no toilet paper and not enough tea or milk for a hot drink very early in the morning before we needed to check out x Real coffee bags, a cafetiere or a Nespresso machine would have been more upmarket as I would never drink or offer my guests instant coffee x

Wife and I stayed for our anniversary. Room was small and needs work. Floor boards were broken and felt like holes covered by the carpet, tiles broken in the bathroom covered by glueing a bath mat to the floor, not so sure how they clean this mat. On my reservation requested no feather bedding due to allergies, this was not done. Requested our bedding was changed at reception and confirmed my requested was on the reservation. When we returned late the bedding had not been changed. With the allergies and very old mattress had very bad night sleep. When we checked out the same receptionist was on duty, when ask why the bedding had not been changed was told they did not have non feather bedding. No apology, no nothing. Happy to take your money for a hotel that needs a lot of work and bad service.

Problems with the toilet - it wouldn’t flush properly.
Reception had a ready remedy as the problem was widespread (not just my room). So, the hotel should invest some time and money to sort the plumbing issues and warn the guests at check-in until the problem has been rectified.
Breakfast (full English) was good with other options available.
