My only complaint was that unbeknownst to me booking with Expedia didn't include breakfast but when checking in the staff told me where and when breakfast is. I assumed it was included in the price which was the same shown on google maps. While checking out i had to pay the €19.50 for breakfast.

Amazing stay. Great staffs from the front desk to the breakfast buffet. Free coffee and snacks. Very clean room. Walking distance to super market and drug store and restaurant. My #1 choice when staying in or near Baunatal.

Honestly, dont stay here. We were lured in by the 'great reviews' but it was possibly the worst place I've stayed. We arrived at 1am after driving a solid 14 hours from Ukraine, to find the room was over 30c, with stagnant hot air and no way of ventilating it we tried to call reception but the room phone wasnt working. Before any of this happened our key hadnt worked, probably due to the woman on reception who was slobbed over her chair leaving the man (Christian?) to juggle the various customers at the desk. He was possibly the best thing about the hotel, polite, friendly, helpful, very kind.
Even when we went down for breakfast at 7.30am the whole place was far far too hot it was uncomfortable.
I barely slept due to the heat, and now have another 14 hours of driving exhausted which was exactly what we were trying to avoid.
Please save your money and go elsewhere!

This was a second visit to the hotel. Very convenient and within walking distance of several restaurants, although there is some good food to be had in the hotel restaurant. The breakfast was fine and in pleasant surroundings. A very nice features is the complementary coffee and tea available in the lobby area. Also a short hop on the S-Bahn to Kassel. For the price, it is a real bargain. And the staff is very helpful and pleasant.

The worst Best Western Hotel ! We arrived at 11.30 pm to the hotel . No welcome , receptionist chaotic we have to wait 30 min to get keys ! Room no air conditioner. It was 29 degrees during the night impossible to sleep

Nice hotel and very easy to find. The hotel looked a little tired in places, whilst other parts were fresh. Lovely included buffet breakfast, one of the best I've had in hotels. No kids play area, and no outside green space. If you're travelling with a roof box, the underground parking is limited to 202cm, there are only a few outside spaces, but lots nearby, which I was assured was safe and the local police station is directly opposite. Would I stay there again? Yes. Quick access to the motorway, so super convenient if you're travelling by car through Europe. Let down by the outside seating area at the entrance where everyone smokes.

Zero ventilation in the room. Very hot. Understandable that European hotels sometimes do not have a/c, but there should be at least a fan available when the hotel room is above 80 degrees.

This hotel needs a major upgrade: AIR CONDITIONING. Too stuffy, a fan does not provide the comfort of any of the four other hotels in which I lodged during this trip. Breakfast was great, staff great.

The hotel was quite old but was clearly being updated and I didn't really mind the older areas anyway. The bed was comfortable, room bathroom, facilities etc all a good size. My main issue was that the room had quite a strong smell - like rubber which I think may have been from new carpet, was busy with work so didn't have time to report this or chase up with the staff. The other issue was a mistake with my booking, I had booked a room with a kitchen but this wasn't available on arrival. Staff were helpful with this and offered an upgrade or discount which was fine. This mistake aside I thought the staff seemed friendly and helpful over all.
