NH Berlin Alexanderplatz

Breakfast was great, lots of choice. Rooms were a good size and clean. Nice reward policy - drink for each guest, for each day you choose not to have your room cleaned. 🤗

Great hotel with comfortable beds with two street car stations nearby.

We stayed here because my husband was participating in the Berlin Marathon. NH Alexander Platz has the perfect location outside the Downtown area. However, transportation was a few steps away, from the train/metro stations to the busses. Uber or taxis are also very common and safe. We had a wonderful view from our bedroom of the famous TV station. Their breakfast buffet was the perfect wellness buffet that we have had in a while. All personal are very friendly.

It’s a very pleasant hotel but there is not much in the immediate locality apart from a Lidl about 200 yds. A little more attention to detail would have made the stay better. More than 1 tea bag, having to remind them to make up the room on one morning. We were there the weekend of the Berlin marathon so it was full however I had specifically asked for a twin which intones said they didn’t have. Expedia had passed on the request with the booking but no one had looked until the day apparently. It eventually got sorted

Outstanding service, beautiful decor, good location.

Lovely hotel, clean, great breakfast, excellent shower and smellies, bed was great but too firm for us. Tram just a short walk with plenty of connections.

Overall it was a good stay! Property is clean and conveniently located, just two metro stops or about 4 tram stops to Alexanderplatz, which is one of the main nerve centres of the city. My only issues are that, once or twice, they knocked on my room door pretty early, I thought, for cleaning, and also on one occasion, despite adding breakfast at the reception, they didn’t have a record that I had paid for breakfast for one of the mornings and made me sign on it. But I don’t view these things as major. There is a convenient self-serve shop near reception that sells drinks and snacks. Overall I would recommend!

My initial experience was good but went downhill couple day into my stay. Berlin temperatures were 30-32 when we were there and the aircon was a joke and hardly worked in the night. When I enquired the hotel said it's not a real aircon and the airflow is reduced in the night to consume less energy. I asked if they can provide a fan and they said open the windows. My room was road facing and there is constant traffic noise, it was such a poor suggestion. A day into our stay we saw ants everywhere in my room, I let it be thinking it is summer and generally it happens in UK as well. My biggest issue was on the day we were checking out hotwater supply was cut off and there was no information provided to any of us, we were no informed during checkin, no email sent or leaflet slipped into my room. When I enquired with reception they said a notice has been put up in the elevators. I went looking for it and it was stuck to the end of the elevator in such tiny fonts and not visible to anyone if the elevator is full. In my case whenever I used the elevator was generally packed as I was in the 6th floor. I asked for refund or partial refund of 1 days room rent as we had to have ice cold bath and use the kettle to heat up some water. Staff had 0 empathy towards the customers and said she will talk to her manager and get back to me about the refund. It's been 5 days and there's been no response from them. I am going to escalate this with my credit card provider.

Used before still excellent this time

The property was very clean. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were exemplary and very helpful. An overall excellent stay. My only small criticisms were that the room was a little too hot the first couple of nights(though this became fine after that) the fitness centre was fine but there could be more specific explanation aboutwhat it included, restaurant food was quite expensive and it was not clear that there was no bathtub in the room.

The stuff was absolutely great. I forget the name but the lady from Georgia in the front desk help us a lot and was so great. We will come back for sure.

Very comfortable beds and clean modern rooms in a central location within walking distance of many sights in Leipzig.

This was my first time to stay in this hotel brand. It was okay. Breakfast options were good but expensive in comparison. I did not enjoy that the cleaning services were at times good on some days versus others. I also did not enjoy that the air conditioning turned off in the middle of the night. That is difficult and I would wake up each night when this would shut off, and it would get too hot, especially during a heatwave in the city. Overalll, good value, but may not stay here again in the future.

Hotel pleasant but not great. Minimum 25 minutes walk to Alexanderplatz or 10 minutes on a tram. Apart from the hotel restaurant only 1 restaurant (Chinese) nearby. Cleaning very hit and miss, our cups, glasses and spoons weren't replaced after the first day. We needed a new pillow slip - left the pillow out and took the slip off but didn't get a new pillow slip. Lifts kept breaking down and the lift doors were vicious if they closed whilst you were getting on - I got a bruise from a closing lift door - not sure they would spring open if a small child was in the same situation. Very convenient for trams and a lovely large park opposite the hotel.
