The hotel was based on two sites either side of the road, both sites had similar facilities of a dining room, bar and entertainment. The residential buildings are low rise and spread around the property. There were a number of swimming pools spread around the sites with ample sunbeds for guests. We often had the nearest pool and pool bar to ourselves or just a couple of other people. The lower site was on the beach, just a short walk from the main building or a short free buggy ride for those with mobility issues. There were a good number of sunbeds and parasols by the beach, each pair having its own safe for valuables. The pool bar was good and very popular. Not a great lover of buffet style dining, but the breakfast buffet was impressive, a wide range of food, fruit and a cooking station with a chef making omelettes. Likewise the evening buffet tried to present a variety of dishes, hot and cold and some local dishes. A good a la carte restaurant for occasions. We found all the staff very friendly and keen to please and thoroughly enjoyed our week there and wished it could be longer. Have to say that a car was essential to get out and about to explore.

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel is located on a large piece of land with lots of greenery, excellent landscaping, and therefore feels very spacious. It is right next to the beach, with poolside villas needing 4-5 minutes walk and seafront ones, even less. Rooms are very clean and furniture feels new. Rooms are spacious with sufficient storage space across wardrobes and drawers. Food was delicious with lots of choice. Because of COVID, patrons are given masks and disposable gloves, which should be worn while around food service areas. During dinners the restaurant has a dress code - men should wear long trousers and closed shoes, while women should not wear short skirts. That was somewhat surprising, as I wondered until the last moment do I need jeans / trousers at all for my stay, so luckily I did not fall foul of the regulations. The beach is excellent - wide, super clean and the sea itself did not have any stones / rocks. Overall, great place - highly recommended

I’m single traveler and I will say it is more for families. That aside I’m not sure how this is a 5 star hotel, 3 at beat but I’d say even 2. The rooms aren’t as advertised mine should have a bathtub but it did not. Rugs are dirty. My room had a missing light bulb and two lights out. The worst by far was the bed it was so hard I may as well sleep on the ground and when I asked for a softer mattress they said they were out until the next day when they brought a thin mattress pad that did nothing to resolve - the pillows are floppy and need to be renewed. I didn’t get any rest at a hotel and walked away with pain in my back and I’d just gotten a massage before my stay. The food is definitely not 5 star I’ve had much better food and sleep in 3 star hotels in Greece. The front of house staff is not that friendly many times there were arguments with not only me but other guests too. Again I’ve never seen this in a 5 star hotel of which I’ve stayed in many around the world. The gym is kind of a joke it has about maybe 8 machines one set of dumbbells circa 1900 and is only big enough in these times for about 2-3 people. The highlight was the beach which is a hike FYI (for some reason I thought it was right on the beach) although you can take a golf cart. I wish I had better things to say but I left there very tired and disgruntled. They should advertise more accurately again view this as a 3 star hotel when you are thinking of staying.

We booked a Suite for 4 people . We got a Suite with one normal bedroom with a standard 2 beds. So 2 people had OK night sleep. But remaining 2 people had to sleep on old SOFA in a corridor , extremely uncomfortable , I could not even fit so I had my legs hanging from the SOFA ! If I didn't pay something like £220 / day for this I would find this funny , but to pay this money and to sleep on old tired mini sofa is not fun at all . My back is killing me and I was supposed to rest and have a nice time . I would kindly advise Melathron to improve their " SOFA-beds " This is not year 1985 . Thank you .

There is a good part of the hotel. The one you see in the pictures. And there is a part of the hotel ( few buildings) that is not so good and it’s far from 5 stars. The very unfriendly staff at the reception gave us rooms in one of the bad, stinky buildings. After we refused, they gave us rooms in other of the not 5 star buildings. We asked specifically for certain buildings in the good part of the grounds and we were told all of the rooms there were taken. This was not true. There were rooms available, but the staff was saving them for some reason. We had made our reservation far ahead and we shouldn’t denied good accommodation. Very disappointing. As an excuse we received 2 towels. Other than that the place is nice. Great architecture and landscaping. The food in the restaurant is great. Make sure when you make your reservation to ask for rooms in the pictured buildings. We were treated unfairly. We didn’t pay discounted price and deserved better treatment

Any organisation can make themselves look good when everything is going well. The true mark of good service is how people handle things when there are problems. I had a real issue with my holiday and while the cause was not the hotels fault they refused any and all help. This was referred to management who also refused to help. I paid to move my stay to another hotel and was deeply disappointed by the way the hotel handled the issue. The tourist industry is about creating dreams and memories for people. Sadly this hotel did not care about either. If you have a problem at this hotel don’t expect them to care or help.

The stay in the hotel was almost perfect. The services especially the logistics, in the facilities transportation and organisation was perfect. Some smaller issues related to cleanliness of the room and technical interventions in the room (if needed) could be considered for improvement. The hotel from time could use for instance the vacuum cleaning machines. All other aspects could marked as excellent. The transportation to the beach is we organised. The hotel guests have reserved sun beds and umbrellas but there is a fee of 8 eur per set. Prices on the beach bar are some 15 to 20% higher than on other beaches. Kids club opens at 6 pm. Apart from this, the location is perfect, beach as well as the numerous swimming pools are too many to service all guests. Special A+ mark to the food and the variety of offers for dinner and breakfast.
