Comfy unit, 15 mins from the airport. Well equipped. Lots of room. Top floor apartment. You can see the lighthouse from the kitchen window. The handheld shower attachment is broken and sprays water haphazardly. Drain is narrow and does not allow shower use with the spigot fully open.

Nice apartment, great location, well equiped and warm. Hpwever, inadequate soundproofing means you can hear what your neighbours are doing all the time. My neighbours on one saide were up until nearly 3am the first night, so I wasn't able to get to sleep until then either. On the second night, some people turned up at around 2am making a lot of noise outside. They were then outside making even more noise the following morning, shouting and playying very loud music from their car. All in all, I'd be reluctant to stay here again.

Prompt and friendly communication; nicely laid out accommodation and well-equipped kitchen; quiet and good location for watching the skies !

The views were beautiful! Fun to be close to a lighthouse. The accommodations were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, and utensils to cook our own meals. Thanks!

Beautiful property clean, close to the airport great for northern lights

Wonderful and cozy, lower level home. I arrived on a red eye flight, and there were no transportation options. I had to rent a car; very expensive. Not the property’s fault, but it’s not on the taxi route. It was very windy, and there was a crashing metal sound all night. I went out in the cold to find a strip of sheet metal loose on a shed roof near the bedroom window. I put an old tire lying near by on it. After sharing the issue and then an update after the fix, I never received a response. Nice place under normal hours, but would have appreciated a follow up for the loss of sleep and original request for help with the late arrival.

Absolutely wonderful in every way. Beyond the necessities there were countless little details that made it feel like home and not just a hotel room.

We had a great stay in this apartment. It was furnished with everything we needed, and was very comfortable. The staff was good at communicating the information we needed and quick to respond. It’s also very close to the airport so it was the perfect place for our last night in the country.

Our group of 5 adults only stayed one night before catching an early morning flight, but it was great. Very comfortable rooms and beds, with a nice kitchen. Everything looked fresh and recently remodeled - with new kitchen appliances. The communication with the property owner was perfect; we locked our keys inside the unit and called the owner, who answered immediately, the owner answered our phone immediately and within a few minutes let us in - and was very friendly about it. We loved looking out our bedroom window and seeing a horse staring back at us! We wish we could have stayed here longer.

Good property if staying for one night if you have an early morning flight as it is not too far from the airport. Had a few issues during our stay that the owner promised to take care of. This property has great potential if the owner adds a washer/ dryer, electric iron and removes the medicine cabinet from above the sink.

Area is very remote and secluded. Hosts were nice and accommodating but apt is very small for 5 ppl.

Nice modern clean apartment in a quiet area with birds nearby. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Entrance door is terrible not all the people can close the door. Its so hard that it took few mins and lot of energy just to close the door. Better to repair it for future guests else its can be considered as unsafe. Also communication was not good and might not respond at all.

We arrived very late at night and had no problems checking in. The apartment was beautiful and spacious and we loved seeing horses from the bedroom window! Plenty of space for our family of five. The family room was cozy and comfortable and everything we needed was provided. The only negative was that the dishes and cutlery were dirty, probably because guests are required to wash their own dishes in a hurry before going to airport. I suggest the cleaning crew take care of this and not leave it to guests. The host was very kind and responsive. We only stayed to sleep and left early morning for our flight. We wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy this beautiful property! Highly recommend for families needing space and to be close to airport.

Gardur Apartments was a wonderful experience- the apartment was immaculate and we really enjoyed the surroundings. The lighthouse at the end of the road is historical and beyond beautiful. We loved the Gardur area, it is away from the city and offers tranquility yet close enough if you need anything. Very safe and family friendly area and the house is so cute, we just loved it. In addition, the host is very communicative in advance and while you are there and wants to make sure you are happy. This was our first night stay in Iceland so that was such a nice aspect upon arrival.

Nice place; small but quaint and very convenient to the airport. Quiet residential area near the water but we didn’t have time to explore the area near the property. It was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.
