The hotel was our 7th night on the ring road tour around Iceland. The location around the Mývatn lake was breathtaking even from the Berjaya Iceland Hotel bar.
This hotel seemed European in design, has a wonderfully eclectic style and a personality that suits an experienced traveller or couple. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, and each item has been selected carefully for the ease of the guest. The space and features chosen made everything a little easier, such as enough room for a big winter coat and a shelf for your snow-covered boots. They were simple things, but thought has been put into these touches and I appreciated them.
The restaurant and bar were modern, with a rustic charm. We sat comfortably for hours in the lounge and watched the sunset over the lake; it was stunning.

We had an excellent stay - the staff were super friendly and helpful. Good location to some local top must see sights. Room was clean comfortable and modern. Food in the restaurant was delicious and the bar area was relaxing - will definitely be back!

By a large margin the best hotel I stayed at in Iceland to date, very quiet and two hot tubs meant it was always easy to find one to enjoy, just off the main road as well making it easy to find

Nice hotel, the room was very clean, spacious and cozy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They went the extra mile for my daughter's ipad which she left behind and we could pick up in a sister hotel in Reykjavik. Super recommended!

I rate this place a 5 for customer service and rooming. The rooms run hot bc the radiator runs even on zero. However when asking staff they fixed the issue. The rooms are very nice and clean. The location is great. We came during a snow storm so the parking lot was iced over

The hot water did NOT smell like sulfer (which is common in Iceland). Two shower heads and new tile, properly cleaned. Not enough lighting in the room, but the beds were good. Lastly, they have a sign-up sheet if you want to be called when the Northern Lights are visible outside the hotel.

We had a great 2 night stay at this hotel. We ate dinner at the restaurant the first night and it was very good. They offer a wake up call to see the Nothern Lights and we were able to see them on the second night. There was a small fan provided in the room which we appreciate. Beds and linens were very comfortable. Highly recommend staying here if you are in town.
