If you are an Aviation Enthusiast or AVgeek you must try staying at this hotel. The hotel offers spectacular room views, which are directly opposite the BPN airport runway. We recommend that you stay upstairs or on the 4th floor, so you can point the camera at every plane that lands and takes off. When I wake up, I can easily find the helicopter lift off from my window. I think the Grand Tjokro Hotel offered something AVgeek's hard to resist. So to all AVgeek across Indonesia, you should try this hotel.✈️👍🏼🚁🤩

All the staff are friendly, but the facilities are a bit lacking, towels are not provided when you check in, you have to go back and forth to the fo because there is no note to contact the room by phone, 1 large bed is not available when asking for a special request. Close to the airport, the AC in the lobby is not felt, the AC in the room is cold and comfortable, the room is spacious, the floor is carpeted so it feels comfortable and homey. The breakfast is complete and delicious. So far, Grand Tjokro is one of the hotel choices when visiting Balikpapan 🙂

The hotel is close to the airport, from the room you can see planes passing by, it's quite exciting if you want to stare blankly at the planes, my child is also happy with the swimming pool and playground facilities, every Saturday morning there is foam play in the swimming pool so it makes the children excited.
The menu in the restaurant is also very complete, the taste of the food is delicious and the choices are also varied.
If I go to Balikpapan again, my child said he wants to stay at this hotel again.
