Fantastic property and reasonably priced. Room was large and very comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Good value for a mid week break. Room was seemed newly decorated and was spacious and warm. Only a handful of guests which did not help the mabiance. The Bar is not open - closed for renovation - which was a pity. Bar food was served in the dining room/ restauant. Strange pricing in the “restaurant” area- fixed price if you order a dinner and priced per item if you order from the bar food menu which is the same menu as the "restautant" . Cheaper to order per item, but one of the staff insisted those eating from the bar menu would have to sit in a separate part of the dining room. Odd in room which seats about 120 and had about 5-10 diners in total. Dinner was adquate, but could not be decribed as fine dining. Breakfast was fine. Although a credit card was sought for extras, charges to the room are not permitted. There is a leisure centre of which we did not avail. Overall a comfortable room and stay, close to a quirky and attractive village. The main site are the cascades or "falls".

Friendly place

I cant gush enough about this hotel. From the moment you pull up and see the beautiful falls the property draws you in. We went at Christmastime and the building was incredibly decorated inside and out. The main building and amenities have been nicely updated and even though the rooms are clearly older I think they are still very pretty and well appointed.

Fantastic location right in the centre of town, but tucked away from the main street with beautiful view across the cascades. Hot tub and pool area was very clean and well run, room was generously sized and breakfast was really great with a fantastic selection of fresh and tasty food. Great hotel, highly recommended.

Unique historic hotel by the falls. Once owned by the McNamara landlord family of whom Dylan Thomas's wife Caitín was a member. Powered by its own hydroelectric plant, making it a truly eco friendly place. Irish breakfast buffet can't be beat. Ennistymon has many good pubs and restaurants among them Eugene's, Burke's, An Teach Bus and Marrinan's

A fabulous stay for a family get together. The selection for dinner was delicious. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. The staff were friendly and professional.

We were given a room in what felt like the attic. Although spacious, the only window offered a view of the roof. There were many stairs to climb with all of our luggage, as the lift didn’t go all the way to the level we were on. Thankfully we are quite able, I can’t imagine being a senior and trying to navigate the narrow steps. I’m not sure how it’s determined who gets placed up there, but I feel that for the price we paid for the room we should have had a bit of a view and not had to carry our luggage up stairs. Other than that, the rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable and the buffet breakfast was good and plentiful.

Old and dated - the old is wonderful but definitely needs some work. The bugs on the first floor roof near the spa were a definite need-to-go. Rooms are big but definitely in need of some freshening up, although the bathrooms are very nice. Some staff were great, some not so much - a bit hit and miss. Grounds are lovely. I guess I was just hoping for more for the price. Knock a 50 euro off and that could be more like it.

A lovely, grand old hotel, that is showing her age just a wee little bit. My room wasn’t anything special, but it was very comfortable and clean, and the hotel’s location can’t be beat. After all, it’s only a couple hundred meters from the high street, and it’s right along the river near the falls and walking paths… and donkeys!

Older rooms . Bed not very comfortable. Beautiful grounds lovely people. Great location to the Cliffs.

Property is beautiful and very serene. Excellent restaurant/bar on property.

The property is very nice and the setting is beautiful, but the service is lacking, in both the reception desk and dining/restaurant.

Staff was extremely helpful, definitely would stay again
