Great location with stunning views

Good value for money - the hotel is in a great location for visiting Etna but is slightly too far up the hill to wonder into Zaffarena for dinner. Free and plentiful parking (in October). The room was clean, a decent size and balcony has an amazing view over the town towards the sea. There is a free minibar which is a nice feature, with lemonades and water to drink. Unfortunately, you can hear everything above you and the rooms next door so don't expect to sleep in. Staff on reception and in the spa were helpful and friendly. The spa itself is a tale of two halves - the first section a little outdated and smelled a bit funny, but then there is a second, newer section which is wonderfully done and calming, with an indoor pool downstairs. It was free to use - just remember a swimming cap. Restaurant was ok - breakfast (included) and dinner was nothing special. For breakfast, you just help and seat yourself. You have to find a member of staff if you want a coffee but they were helpful once you can track one down. Breakfast items a bit lacking in quality except for the pastries which were delicious. For a hotel that says it is an Eco Wellness hotel, it is a shame it still has bathroom miniatures (instead of the topped up, wall mounted ones that many hotels have these days) and the use of plastic cups for juices at breakfast instead of glasses. All in all, a good choice to stay here. With some minor changes, it could be made great.

I’m having a wonderful time here and don’t want to leave

We came here to enjoy the pool, the SPA and gym. The pool was fine, the SPA was not accessible for kids, except for the Panoramic pool, but then only early in the morning and one hour from 19-20. The gym was way too hot to do A workout, airco was not functioning well. Not happy…

Hotel was falsely advertised, and we didn’t get what we expected based on their website. Spa was not open when it was supposed to be. The AC in our room did not work, even though the staff insisted that it did. It was 29 Celsius (85 Fahrenheit) in our room, even though it was set at to 21/70. Staff visited 4 times and insisted that the AC was working. They were able to find us a different room for the 2nd night. Same problem. Claims to have 3 restaurants on site. There is only 1, and it was the worst food we had during 10 days in Sicily. In addition, the staff was actually fighting with each other over our bill, and it took 30 minutes to check out. The property is built into the side of the mountain and there are 10 flights of stairs between the rooms, the spa, and the restaurant. Will absolutely not stay here again. Not worth the misery. You have been warned!!!

Our room, a junior suite, was large, yet the shower was very tiny and old. The room was dated. The on site restaurant was set up to accommodate large groups that came on bus tours, with banquet tables and a dinner menu that was meant for large groups. Online pictures gave the impression of a view of Mt. Etna. Our view was beautiful, of the sea, but you can not see Etna from the property. While the property was adequate, we were somewhat disappointed.

The whole experience is a little “meh”. I’ll start with the bad points - the hotel decor is very outdated, the rooms are not sound proof, can hear everything next to you, above and below. The spa is really nice when you look at it, but then all the facilities were just not working properly - sauna and both jacuzzis were actually pretty cold. The staff are very inflexible, just a bad experience all around. However, I will say that the views are amazing and the pool area is nice despite not having any drink or food facilities around it, you can’t chill by the pool with a drink or food which was a bit annoying.

Excellent setup, relaxing atmosphere and extremely attentive staff

Was a surprise initially, as we arrived on a Sunday and the spa was very popular with local Romans - masses of people wandering around in white towelling dressing gowns! A bit like going to heaven, I imagine. Wonderful facilities, beautiful gardens and the room was exceptional. Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to be accommodating. Restaurant food superb. Several shopping centres nearby and very convenient to the airport.

Good hotel, located in a different area of Etna, very nice gardens, easy parking, and breakfast simple but maybe enough.

Restaurant great food but no ambiance, great terrace, wonderful staff

We stayed for a couple of nights - the staff were really helpful and the room was comfortable. The pool looked looked lovely - we didn't use it as the hotel was hosting a wedding round the pool and we didn't want to intrude, but we did have a relaxing afternoon sitting on the sun terrace. As the hotel is a little out of town, you need a car to get out and about.

Great stay. Spa facilities were very nice. Reception staff were very attentive. We requested a room change as our room had a bad odour and were offered an alternative straight away. Beautiful setting. Remote location but was as expected. Approximately 25 minute drive from south Etna cable car.

Lovely place to stay if you are visiting Mount Etna or just happen to be in the region. Great facilities and comfort. Nice staff and comfort; however, large parties in the dining room meant that there were often waits between courses and screaming kids! Other than that, no complaints.

If you are going up to Mt Etna this hotel is located on the road going up to the mountain.About a twenty minute drive.Hotel offers great views from your room and a Health spa downstairs which is free.Great Breakfast in the morning.Staf was great with a special Thanks to Joseph behind the front desk who was so helpful to us.Great Stay and Great Hotel and Staff!
