We had an amazing stay here!! The staff is absolutely phenomenal, very helpful and responsive. The property itself is beautiful and a very convenient location being so close to Montelupo train station. We used this to go in and out of the city only 30 minutes! Parking for the car was plentiful. Breakfast had lots of selection. The restaurant across the road is very reasonably priced with great local cuisine. The rooms were clean and stocked with basic necessities. The rooms have a unique charm to them. The only slight improvement would be a little update to the comfort of the bed. Overal I recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience Florence and SG/surrounding area.

The hotel advertises having air conditioning. This is not the case although the front desk claims that it’s centrally controlled and that “there’s nothing they can do to make it cool.”
I was given a room that overlooks the adjacent street where cars and motorcycles fly by at 100kph. Attempting to sleep with the windows open (again, to try and cool the room down) is utterly impossible.

Ok I normally do not leave reviews and I like to let people find out for themselves. There was dirt and mold above the bed on a picture that they did clean and all I got in return for this disgustingness sleeping in it for two days was 1 free tea. They could have offered one night free for the horrible week old unrefrigerated hard-boiled eggs that were green brown and smelled like fish. I was lied to my face about how they cooked them in the morning and they didn't, everything sat overnight all day under glass. you have to refrigerate eggs!!! Just a lousy overall stay in what should have been an amazing experience because it's a converted convent but that's the best part of it. That room needs to be power washed clean it is filthy! The bathroom however seemed very decent. The room was very very small and right on the highway and the one good part about that was you knew it was time to go to sleep when the traffic died down. I hate to leave reviews and I know this is very negative but this place needs an overhaul!

Decent place, good value. Nice property and excellent service. Excellent breakfast. Only downsides was room got a bit stuffy (didn’t see any aircon?) and we had a couple of pesky mosquitoes, but I understand this is rural Italy so stick by it being a good stay and fine value!

Last day at breakfast, I cut the tip of the bread and left it there (that very hard bit in italian bread) and continue cutting the "normal" slices.
An older man that seemed to be the owner of the hotel saw me and started shouting in italian and pointing at the bread bit.
The front desk guy that spoke English came and made it translated that that my behaviour was unacceptable.
I packed up my things and left.
At the front desk again, I was expecting a sincere apology from the manager, which never happened. To the contrary. He actually told me that the old man is right and "what if everyone cut that bit and left there??". to which my response was: "I'm sure that the bit cost much less than the damage my bad review will cause"
I remained calm during the whole episode coz it was so surreal I had no words.
so.. thats it.. I really hope this review hurts them.

We promised to come back and we did. One of our most favourite places to stay. Great place to relax, with pool, restaurant and spa. Very close to the Chianti region and only 5 minutes from a train station to take you to Firenze or Pisa or Siena. Love this place.

If you are looking for a genuine Tuscan experience- look no further. This place has it all. The room is fit for a king with a high ceiling with large wooden beams. Bed was nothing but excellent and you also got complimentary sweets in the room. Bathroom was large and had a good shower cabin. We didn't try the restaurant, but breakfast was great. Some more variety of jams could have been nice as well as fresh fruit and vegetables, but my wife is vegan and she got both soymilk and a salad- although we ordered that in advance. Service was amazing and the guy at the front desk spoke great English.
