Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Tsukiji

Mitsui Garden properties are very nice. Clean, great staff, rooms are sized well and efficiently designed. We booked a standard room which had washer and dryer. The shower had great water pressure. This location was about 15-20 minutes walk to Ginza shopping district and 5 minutes walk to Tsujiki market. Suggest going in morning to market as stalls open around 8am. Safe walk and nice before crowds. Note most stores and restaurants do not open until 10-11am. Very happy with this hotel and location. Would stay again.

The hotel room got the washer which was great but the hotel is next to the funeral home and limited access to convenience stores.

Was good hotel, very nice and helpful staff. The only thing I didn’t like is that the bed was a bit too hard for me. Room a bit small but this is all Japan almost. And the washer and dryer in the room was great for us!! Very convenient. Very good area, close to the train station and to ginza six and shopping areas.

Just opened a few months back so I booked this. Could see many family, couples and business travellers here. Check-in by a machine reader, you just need to scan your passport. My luggages were delivered from previous hotel and they were in the room already. Efficient. The cleaning is every two days. Pajamas, towels, shampoo, shower gel are provided. Toothbrush and everything else are self pick up at the first floor just like other hotels. Too bad no shower caps. They don’t have baby cribs but i think they have bed guards. My 2 year old nephew seemed to be enjoying his stay here. Breakfast is on 14th floor and they have baby chairs. Saw many babies during breakfast. Breakfast are made based on your order so it was a hot meal. Second floor lounge not to be missed. You can use the coffee machine there - for free if you are the hotel guest. Though no bath tub, i still like the room. There is a washing machine in the room so you need to buy your detergent at nearest konbini. Lawsons and family mart are nearby so you can get what you need easily. The higashi ginza station exit is quite near, abt 4 min walk, but if you need the lift or elevator, it is another 10 mins walk, just right in front of Millenium Mitsui Garden Hotel. This hotel is near Tsukiji Station as well.

It is a brand new hotel so great condition. The room is of good size with efficient layout, and I like the washer/dryer in the room. The location is not the best - it is 10-15 min walk away from the stores in Ginza, so you have to switch subway if coming from Shinjuku etc.

Overall satisfaction Cons: Doesn't offer late check out. Not even 1 hour. The staff asked me to pay if i decided late check out. Public bath doesn't have any towels. Staff didn't explain during the check in.

Property very clean and staff friendly and courteous The room and a washing-dryer which is very convenient but it takes about 4.5 hours one load to wash and dry. Internet: Very fast There is a lounge that is free for all for space to work, ice machine, free coffee The hotel is located one block away from Tsukiji market and very close to two metro stations I will definitely stay here again. I traveled alone with my daughter and felt very safe

Decent hotel, nicely designed with beautiful aesthetics. The public bath is very well done. Our room was small, which is typical for Tokyo, but it was comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was superb. The biggest drawback is the location - it’s a tad far from the Ginza core (around 12-15 mins) and we were traveling with a toddler and it was quite tiring. Another issue we had was we had checked out early in the morning (9am) and stored our luggage. The elevators were very busy at that time so while the receptionist offered to send us up to the second floor after check out to get a cup or coffee, we decided against it due to the long wait times for an elevator. When we returned 40 minutes later to retrieve our luggage and asked for access to the second floor for a cup of coffee, we were declined because the lounge was “reserved for staying guests”. Left a bitter taste in our mouths.

It’s new hotel: It just opened since October 2024. Staffs should be more “real supportive” not cold hearted business style” because of afraid of liabilities when giving guides, support for customers Hotel should have ready answer for common questions from customers like how to travel to airports, places…. Washing machine in room seem a good idea but they are noisy at night for next rooms as many customers want to take advantage of. Breakfast should be served buffet styles with Japanese theme foods…

Pros 1. Room was clean 2. Hotel staff was great 3. Good location 4. Large fridge and microwave Cons 1. Didn’t like room layout when you walking in the room technically your in the bathroom/changing area. 2. No real closet 3. Has washer/dryer but takes 4 hours to wash and drag load 4. Due to room layout you had to be on top of the bed to open curtains 5. There are 3 Mitsu Gardens within a block or two of each other. So if your not to familiar you could end up going to the wrong one.

We were impressed with the intelligently and carefully designed room. Like the average hotel in Tokyo you don’t have a large amount of space around your bed, however it makes very good use of the space that is available. Plus the room had a microwave and a washer/dryer which is so convenient. Hotel is in a good location - just a few minutes walk to Higashi-Ginza and Tsukiji stations. Shower and toilet were immaculate.

Room a bit small but average in Tokyo standard. There are other Mitsui Garden hotel in Ginza, rooms are bigger and more conveniently located, but older…. Depends on what one care for
