This is our second time staying at this hotel and we really enjoyed it. Easy to get around, clean rooms, and an overall good atmosphere. The only con is that I wish there were better coffee options available as opposed to having to go to the coffee barista in the morning so we usually got our coffee while we were out but other than that it was great.

I had planned to travel to Amsterdam. While searching for a hotel, I came across Leonardo, as I’ve only had good experiences with this hotel chain so far. However, the comments on various platforms made me uneasy: very small rooms, not clean, unfriendly staff. I thought long and hard about whether I should book here. The argument that convinced me was its prime location (right next to the Rijksmuseum). After a four-day stay, I can review the hotel: Positives: • Rooms are standard-sized for a major city (rooms in central Paris or London aren’t bigger). • Rooms and bathrooms are clean. • Very nice and practical furnishings. • Perfect location (2 minutes on foot to the Rijksmuseum, 3 minutes to the Van Gogh Museum or a tram stop). • Cozy breakfast. • Friendly reception staff and very patient restaurant/breakfast staff. Negatives: • Atmosphere in the breakfast room (dark walls, little fresh air, poor acoustics). • Lobby is too small, so many guests who have already finished breakfast remain seated at the tables, blocking spaces for the next guests. • Heavy room doors (you can hear when neighbors leave their rooms). • Air conditioning is a bit noisy, though I’m also bothered by the “loud” hum of a flying fly ;) • Many smokers right outside the hotel entrance (you have to walk through a cloud of smoke first).

The location was good but don’t stay here if you would like a good night sleep because there’s no sound proofing so you could hear guests in the rooms next to me coughing and snoring all night. Didn’t get much sleep which negatively affected my holiday. You can hire bikes from the hotel for a fee. The gears didn’t work on the one I got.

Unfortunately, the cleaning of this hotel was terrible. Upon complaining we were told they were understaffed. This is not an excuse and if they are understaffed another solution should have brought up before hosting guests

I have to be honest. It was the worst experience ever for a hotel at that price. We arrived at the hotel in the morning, checked in, left our luggage, and went out for lunch. We came back at 3:20 to get our room, but no rooms were available. They made us wait in their coffee shop. After waiting for an hour and a half, at 5:00, we finally got a room. It was in the basement with an extra bed prepared for three people. They said they upgraded us and gave us a bigger room. Okay, it was bigger since it could accommodate three people, obviously, but in the basement? But we are in a different culture, so we accepted this underground room. We couldn't open the curtains since the windows, which are high up, are see-through from the street. (We found this out by walking on the main road and looking down at our room.) The room was clean, but the cold water faucet was completely broken, and there was no cold water unless you got it from the faucet in the bathtub. The noise from the street was unbearable. We could hear all the cars and bikes going by and every footstep, especially women's heels on the cobblestone and people's laughter! We couldn't get a good night's sleep. The next day, we went out for the day and came back to find our room had not been serviced. They told us we needed to request the service. Why didn't they tell us ahead of time? They gave us free breakfast as compensation. They had a pretty nice breakfast, and we decided not to raise our voices and just go home.

Very nice hotel. We had a problem in the room and it was dealt with immediately by the excellent staff. Would highly recommend. Good location to get around the city. Close to some of the main museums. Very close to tram and bus stops. 5 mins walk to nearest Metro. Highly recommended.

I had a pleasant stay at the Leonardo Boutique Museumhotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, I was disappointed that there was no room service available, and the WiFi was quite unreliable, which made it difficult to use my phone unless I left the hotel. Overall, it’s a decent option if you don’t rely heavily on internet access or room service.

The windows in our room were unable to stop the majority of external noise disturbing our stay with frequent nighttime disruption. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.

Amazing location. Our room faced the back of the hotel so it was quiet, room size is good, and room amenities nice. The bed-side table wasn’t clean but we let Reception know and it got cleaned whilst we were out at dinner, which was appreciated. We’d definitely stay here again for an overnight visit to Amsterdam.
