So as i walked in the room i noticed dirty curtins toilet sink was filthy dust everywere

Was so close to everything really enjoyed our stay

Pool needs a repaint. Mattress due replacement as starting to collapse on one side. Incomplete refurbishing of the room, old water damage on cupboard still evident. Room however spotless and spacious. Staff helpful and friendly.

In a good location with spacious rooms but rooms needed repairs and maintenance. Rooms were reasonably clean but shower had mould.

The motel is in a great location and the mineral pool is a nice bonus. Our room smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals when we entered, the shower was mouldy and the carpet old.

Great location, handy to all local eateries, Waiariki Spa (next door), Government gardens, Polynesian Spa and the lake. The lakefront is absolutely stunnning! Good value for money, you get what you pay for. Pools are a bit shabby but still serves its purpose. Needs to revise security as open to public, perhaps guest laundry should be in a more secure facility as anyone can come off the street and access. Warning, do not leave laundry next to the machine, if you are waiting to use the machine, take your things to your room with you if you don’t want your items nicked. Iyky lol. Other than that, good stay, lovely staff and I would stay again due to location. Cheers

The staff wer really nice and welcoming, rooms wer cleaned each morning, the location was ideal only a short walk to restaurants, would def come back again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay thankyou so much

Good overnight stay close to intercity bus station and shopping/food places.

Booked a 1 bedroom unit for 3 nights. Stayed 3 hours until we found new accommodation. Stained linen on beds, something running down the walls, oven was filthy, old fly pooh, peeling paint. Went to return the key and office was locked, so unable to discuss. But as they considered this unit was okay to rent out I had little faith in them having anything better to offer.

Close walking distance to city centre and eating places. Staff friendly. Facilities are clean but slightly oldish and needs a paint.

Staff was warm and welcoming. Johns gave us a bigger room than we reserved and even helped us carry our suitcases up to our room. Property looks like your typical family run motel so there's a bit of quirkiness to it. Spa tub was the hottest hotel/motel one we've ever been in which was wonderful! We didn't try the other 2 pools

Nice clean accomodation, close to resturants

The room and beds had stains, the whole place really needs an update, fresh paint, some actual decor. Staff was super nice, very friendly and helpful. Something was off overall but couldn't figure out what

Property was clean but very tired and in need of a refresh (pealing paint, marks, excessively soft worn beds). Nothing to directly complain about or need immediate fixing, just a general feel that I expected better, and that only essential maintenance had been done since covid. (But this was a similar quality standard in many of the other N.I. motels we stayed in during the trip). Kids liked the pools, and a convenient location, walkable to waterfront and dining.

The property is in desperate need for maintenance and repair, I strongly suggested that the room we were in be put aside and fixed before use again. We arrived to a bathroom that was missing a cabinet door, a shower drain that didn't drain and a wet floor from the shower leaking, not to mention the ceiling was covered in mould and the paint is all flaking away. The windows are the only ventilation and it takes all strength to open them due to their position. The floor lino is all pealing away and the room hadn't been vacuumed behind the beds they were covered in thick dust. The bedroom light was strobing in one room and not able to be used. All of these were mentioned to the staff who in my opinion did nothing to warn us or really rectify the issue basically saying we could leave with full refund or stay, I was travelling with my father and my 3 children under 8 in the school holidays, this was not fair options. Wouldn't stay again

It was lovely here, felt like a short stay for us. The ovens did not work in every rooms us and family members had and when they did come to turn my one on I could smell something burning an it was because they left the top stove on. Any of my kids could have touched that stove and to make it worst I could not see any smoke alarms, everyone needs these for emergency.
