Thon Hotel Terminus

Good hotel close to the train station. They did not clear the snow/ice immediately outside the hotel entrance so it was relatively treacherous crossing the road with luggage to go to the train station through the covered mall.

Good sized family room, friendly staff and excellent breakfast!!!

Check-in was quick with a friendly experience. Room was very cold and even with the heating on, took a while to get warm. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice

The staff that dealt with us were great and the hotel is handily placed for the station. Our bed was really awkwardly placed and you couldn’t easily access it from both sides. Would not have suited someone not able bodied at all. The bathroom layout was pretty dreadful…toilet and shower badly placed and the room was generally not well laid out. We struggled with noise from outside during the night also.

Close to the central station and waterfront. Walking distance to many sights and attractions.Good breakfast. The room was small but reasonable for the price. It was comfortable and quiet. I found the decor and color scheme to be a bit bizarre.

Stayed here for a short break in Oslo and this was a nice hotel in a very convenient location, right in the centre of the city, just round the corner from the train station with everything you need within walking distance. Staff very friendly upon check in. Breakfast was amazing, excellent range of food to choose from, nespresso coffee machine also a nice touch. Room was ok, plenty of space and was clean and modern with a nice double bed and tv. Floor in the shower a little bit worn. Fridge in the room also didn't work very well, drinks put in there were still room temperature when taken out. Bed was comfortable, however on our first night we were kept up until after 3am, due to the bass from the music coming from the nightclub situated behind the hotel. Thankfully this was not the case for the next two nights (which were Friday & Saturday - work that one out!) and we had a much better sleep. Overall, if you can be guaranteed you won't be disturbed at night, I would recommend this hotel.

The staff were very helpful and attentive when checking in and out. The room was adequate for 1 night as a stopover but my wife and I were glad that we were not staying longer. There was no air conditioning or temperature control in the room, the TV seemed to rely on linking to your personal devices and apps and the area around the hotel wasn’t the nicest on an evening.

Nice hotel in a great location, staff very nice, breakfast was good with a lot of variety. Room was good size but the bathroom is very small. Only downside was the room did get hot but couldn't keep the window open as there was a constant noise outside.

It was our first time in Oslo and to be honest, I was very unfamiliar with the layout of the city. We did not spend much time at the hotel, we really only slept there. We did not even take advantage of the breakfast offered. We were on a lower floor and our room looked into an inner courtyard. The room was spacious- being an older building it was obviously designed around some structural features. I have to commend the front desk clerk who rescued us on Sunday morning when our rental vehicle was LOCKED inside the parking garage across the street and we were needing to get to the airport at 6:30. We were panicked! he made some phone calls and we were able to get the door opened.

Room 535 on a top floor had very little headroom, being an eaves room. Bed pillows were inches from the sloping ceiling. All a little cramped for a 6" 1 traveller, and a far cry from the online pictures. Cramped shower room, but with a lovely heated floor and decent shower.

Excellent stay. Rooms were basic, clean, and comfortable. the breakfast (included in the room rate) was outstanding and made this stay truly special. The hotel is located near the train station and a local mall, but feels a bit deserted at night. It is a few block walk to the more commercial areas of Oslo.

Breakfast was awesome. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was rather small, especially the bathroom.
