I wish I could give this hotel more than 5 stars! The staff was amazing and incredibly nice and helpful. The location was very optimal to explore the city, especially if you are keen to walk, but is also close to public transportation. The rooms were well kept, beautiful and clean. Rooms were also a very comfortable size, especially for being in the heart of Porto. We did not have much of a view outside our window, but that did not deter from our stay whatsoever. Just outside the front door there is a beautiful view down to the river. Could not recommend this hotel more!

We had an amazing 3 nights at this fabulous hotel. The location is perfect and surprisingly quiet for where it is. Every member of staff that we met were polite and professional and could not do enough for us. The variety and the quality of the breakfast is second to none and is continually refreshed when running low. Porto is spectacular and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of going.

Icon Duplo Ribeira was the perfect place for our stay in Porto. First, the location was just right. It was near the river but not in the middle of the most touristy section. Many restaurants were nearby and everything that we wanted to see was within a 15-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel itself was very nice, with fun decor. We even had a small view from our fifth floor room that was as nice as you can hope for given the hotel does not face the river. Shower was hot and easy to use (but watch the slippery floor in there when it's wet). Breakfast was excellent. In particular, beyond what other hotels have, they had a nice selection of cheeses, a really great yogurt station (including honey right from the honeycomb!) and some little treats of like a banana/chai milky cup and mini smoothies. Their pastries were also next level. We spent 10 days in Portugal, and this was the nicest place we stayed! The reception staff was excellent as well, very helpful whether for restaurant recommendations or sightseeing tips. I would happily stay in another ICON Duplo property in the future!

It's hard to be critical of the hotel because the staff are great, but here goes. The good: * The staff * The location * The shower The bad: * Lack of variety at breakfast (we were here for 7 nights) the same thing every day * The cereal was stale tasting * The hot food was barely warm * The bed was uncomfortable * The bedding was not changed * The smell from the bathroom 24/7 * The English speaking channels on the TV was news, news or news

It was a huge pleasure staying at Icon Duplo - in the central part of Porto, accessible to many restaurants and the river. Although parking was quite difficult, we still found it to be the ideal hotel for us. My husband, I were travelling with our 2.5 year old son and we were pleasantly surprised at the crib that was waiting for him in our room, along with a colouring book and crayons. Breakfast was included and was delightful. We highly recommend this beautiful boutique hotel to anyone staying in Porto.
