We recently held the Superior Wellness Annual Partner Event at this hotel. It was our best ever event and part of this was down to the quality of the rooms, the service provided by the team and also the food which was incredible. If you are looking to hold a large event or conference here, I would highly recommend. Luisa the Events Manager is highly attentive and very organised. We will definitely return one day.

Beautiful restored palace. Amazing architecture views and location. The rooms are spacious but surprisingly dated for a five star hotel, the shower is pretty basic and the AC controls too, in fact my room was pretty cold even with the AC on. It has a nice spa but the indoor pool water temperature was surprisingly cold.

I would definitely not recommend this hotel. I have travelled all over Portugal and this is by far the most uncomfortable hotel I’ve stayed at. It is located a 35 min walk (at a brisk pace) to the edge of the old city. This is not a. Good location. Don’t be fooled by the pictures online. The inside is simply awful. Rooms are hot and stuffy. Pillows horrible. The hotel is dark, very poorly designed and smells like sewage. The shower is terrible and probably dangerous to anyone who is older or off balance. Terrible coffee. The breakfast is ok. The service is also not great. I’m sorry. But I had to write this review because I don’t want anyone having their spoiled when there any so many choices in the lovely city. Good news! Porto is amazing. I hope this helps :)

Fabulous hotel for views, appreciators of classical architecture. The ceilings alone are stunning. The building has been very well maintained and the separate accommodation is equally as well appointed. Possibly not 5 star, but a very close 4.8.

The hotel tries to be a standard luxury hotel. Both buildings are good, the organization of bar, restaurant and public area in the palace allows to use the place not just a sleeping place. The breakfast and a morning view from the restaurant are outstanding. The SPA area deserves just to be mentioned as EXISITING, but not worth visiting
