We stayed at Abalone Lodge for 2 nights in a log cabin. It exceeded our expectations and was a great experience. Excellent value & service.

Abalone Lodge was a fab place to stay. We stayed in a double story log cabin wish was amazing. Downstairs it had an open plan kitchen and lounge, shower room and a huge picture window. Upstairs it had a big bedroom with a super comfortable king size bed, a bathroom with a spa corner bath and a separate toilet. The bedroom had a balcony with an Amazing view. We sat there every morning having our tea and evening sipping wine.
You have your own parking space too which was great. James at reception was a great help with local knowledge and told us everything you needed to know about the local area. You are a little way out of town so a car is good to have. The Cabin has everything you’d need for a perfect stay.
Would recommend this place to everyone.

This is a really good looking complex with quality rooms. We felt safe in the gated compound. We used this as the base to go walking in the Knysna Nature Reserve

The only negative was geusts and their children not taking into consideration that it is log cabins and your next door neighbour can hear every step. Late at night!

The view was stunning and the check in was quick. The only downside is that we had a semi-detached cabin so we heard our neighbors footsteps from time to time. The only dirty part was the basin in the bathroom (the underneath side which can only be seen from the bath) and there were some beams that had dust on therefore housekeeping only does the basics and not a full top to bottom and the minor areas

What an amazing place. Convenient checkin/checkout, full quick service when needed, and most importantly, an ABSOLUTELY FABOULOUS cabin with domestic feeling and comfortness. The nights with wine and candled lights at the top floor balcony with great views over Knysna Bay will always be stuck in our hearts. We will be back.
