Easy bus access. Helpful friendly staff

The room was extremely small. We had a hard time bringing in our two medium sized suitcases. No real bathroom, only a tiny shower stall with no privacy. The door does not stop the water from flowing out and flooding the area. Sheets and towels had a musty smell. After the first night, we paid extra to move over to the regular ibis hotel side, where the rooms are a bit bigger and there is an actual bathroom.

Good location, friendly staff. Room was Ibis-like small, but clean. Ask at reception for Ticino-Pass, which is for free and gives you free public transportation in the Ticino region and many discounts during the time of your stay.

Make yourself a favor and stay somewhere else

Very average accommodation and breakfast. Pretty much a hostel. No privacy in the bedroom - shower - no lock. Toilet - no lock. No everyone is away with family. Breakfast - perhaps we came late but at 850 there was no egg left and the pastries were empty. Nice staff but I felt it was tough seeing everyone enjoy the Novotel pool from the glass window at reception. Told couldn’t even use pool if I offered to pay. So I think it’s my last ibis budget.

Quaint little hotel. We only wanted to sleep and expected just a bed and bathroom which is nothing more. However, quiet place, very friendly front staff, close to the lake front and great coffee shops.

Basic but clean and well designed

The door was open 24/7 so people who were jetlagged (like me) could come in and out without any problem.

It was the worst I ever stay. Never will I book this hotel anymore. Staff are rude, unfriendly, no kettle for hot water. No supply of drinking water.

Good hotel for overnight stay in Lugano

Nice hotel but staff was not helpful or friendly.

It was extremely hot night and there was no air conditioning available, no hair dryer, no iron, no fridge nothing. Horrible small room with 2 towels and 2 soap bars that is it. Would not recommend this place. Super expensive but you dont get anything.

The location was good, but they are saving on costs which are pretty ridiculous - like not having a tissue box in the rooms.

Clean and fresh hotel in strategic location. Recommended!

On August 10, 2022 at around 08:30-09:00, I went to the breakfast area to check what kind of food/breakfast is being served. I was checking if there are continental breakfast available (scarmbled egg, sausage, bacon etc.). Unfortunately, there wasn’t. I was aproached by a female staff (wearing a black top and a pony-tailed hair). She asked for my room number and I provided her our room number. I told her that “I want to check first what kind of breakfast you serve”. Thats when she ROLLED HER EYES on me, literally rolled her eyes on my face! It was an unpleasant experience and so I left with my family. I went to the front desk and talked to the male staff. I asked the guy if I can talk to the Manager, Supervisor to report the incident. All of a sudden, this guy cannot understand me and said “I dont understand what you mean”. I remember when we first checked in, staffs speak very good english and when I started complaining they cannot understand me ??? So I have to explain it slowly and clearly about the incident, and the only thing the guy said to me was “No manager today”. I asked, is there anybody I can talk to to complain. The guy said “Nobody”. I asked the guy for the name of the female staff and said that he cannot do it for privacy and I understand that. The front desk guy talked to the lady on the breakfast area briefly and that was it, didn’t offer any help to us. Aug. 11 at 09:10am, we checked out, same guy at the frontdesk did not say a word to us! :(

Budget it is exept the price $200 night. Small cheep looking rooms, toilet door basically a painted plywood on hinges. Got a room on top floor that had no air conditioning and with the heat wave this summer was impossible to stay in. We ended up going to a different hotel and they couldn’t refund anything because we booked a non refundable option, lesson learned. Reception area has nice big windows overlooking a pool that is not for the budget guests.
