Baymont by Wyndham Grenada

More of a motel. Towels at back door of dining area, not sure why. Very quiet until around 6 am when noise of hotel customers (who were obviously contractors from the many trucks) got up to go to work. Breakfast looked nice but i dont eat it. The area where they excelled was their staff. Both young men, night & morning managers, were extremely helpful and gracious.

Bed was comfortable, TV was big, room was cheap. I suspect the top bedspread wasn't washed, but the sheets were clean and I checked for bedbugs. The room was old and dated and badly remodeled. There were outlets without covers. The room had been painted without even taking outlet covers and other items off the wall. There were no lights next to the bed. There were only two lights in the ceiling with a horrible daylight color in, so your two choices were darkness or brightly lit hospital look. Furniture was old and worn out. The cover was falling off the heat pump unit. I wanted to turn it up to 74 because I was worried about not having enough blankets, but it would only go to 71. Floor was very dirty. If you want a super cheap stay, it's ok, but for 10 bucks more you can likely get a much better place.

There is flies in the pastry stand no ice on the premises. He wanted to check my room before I get my hundred dollar deposit back will not be staying there again.

The room had an ice bucket, but there was no functioning ice machine or safety bag in the bucket. The room had a refrigerator and microwave, but no dresser drawers for clothing. I didnt like the fact that they accused me of smoking in my room when i swore to them i didnt that i stepped outside the door. They would not give me my deposit back so i will never book there again!!

Don’t stay there, breakfast was terrible, no ice machine, no soda machines, tv didn’t work, shower caulk area was so dirty it looked like mold and a/c unit would not keep desired temperature.

Simple convenient, bathroom dated, sheets and towels were stained. Comfortable beds

This hotel was an awful choice. They had the parking lot completely full of orange cones, as they had redone it sometime in the last 2 weeks. It was not freshly done. The African American woman at the desk was rude. They charged us for our service dog, refusing to budge in discussing it. At night, the back parking lot was full, lots of people walking around, going on & out of rooms. There was definite drug activity going on. I did not feel safe at all. There was junk, trash, & random cleaning implements everywhere in the walkways with no attempt to improve the look of the place. They were "remodeling." *Unable to upload pics, believe me- it's utterly trashy.

Best part was our IT guy- TV did not work & Philbert was able to work his magic. The place needs some updates & I understand new owner is working on it. I wish him luck.

Outside door had about an inch gap. Could see day light, surprised nothing crawled it's way inside. Dead bolt was not even close to be able to lock. The other lock on the door was broke. It wouldn't take much for someone to break in. Door to bathroom was so out of plum, it would not shut. The shampoo and conditioner containers they have in the shower were empty.

I was shocked when checking in and was told that a $50 room damage deposit was required that was fully refundable at check out. When my wife and I checked out Sat morning, we were asked to wait while the desk clerk went to inspect the room before refunding our deposit. The breakfast bar was totally unacceptable also. Will not be staying there again.

Had to change rooms due to first room not being clean and bath room light not working. TV not set up correctly for easy access. Had to get management in to help.

The greeting staff was great but the room didn't smell good the tv didnt work the doirs and floors were dirty the towels were stained its sad to say but i will not be staying there again

I would recommend this property for those looking to visit Grenada on a budget. The location is close to shopping, entertainment, food, and sightseeing. For this prime location, the price to stay here is a steal. The staff is very responsive to issues that one may have, and the complimentary buffer breakfast isn't too bad. Again, this is a not-frills-stick-to-the-basics hotel offering and it will work just find for those that want a nice stay without the financial pinch.

When signing in I wasn't expecting to have to pay a $50.00 deposit. Although it was refunded when I signed out. Should have been told at the ti.e of the booking that there would be a deposit that had to be made.

This hotel has horrible customer service. I stay here about 4 times a year 2 to 3 nights. I've been staying here for 10 years and this was my last time. They swiped my card 3 times after i told him that I was paying cash when i checked in. He used the card that was on my account. I removed it. He was rude and this wasn't the first time. I assumed the last time that happened maybe he was having a bad day. The hotel needs a serious upgraded.
