1ST. place in Penn. that I stayed in that has been enjoyable in a 3 yr. span.Other hotels have been less than clean and questionable. Maybe my standards are a bit high but it is not a pleasant surprise to wake up in the nitetime and see bugs in many places. Keep your suitcase zipped otherwise you will just take them home with you. This was not the case at this location, appears to have been freshly renovated and well kept. Showers worked well and A/C.... CLEAN,CLEAN,CLEAN Looking to return often when I travel this area. Kudos to the entire staff. Tom

I loved my room with a king bed and a bathtub for soaking after a long day out sightseeing. There was a few things in the room that needed to be fixed when I checked in such as a loose faucet in the sink and a very loose toilet seat. I tightened those up instead of bothering the hotel as it was a simple fix. It should have been taken care of before I checked into the room. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for the whole weekend with very high temperatures all 3 days that I was there. As mentioned in other reviews, there was a pile of trash bags that were dumped outside the back door. It would be nice if they would have trash cans to put the trash in as that would be more sanitary. The staff was very polite and went out of their way to make it a very good stay.

The first room we were in appeared to be clean and made up, but when we went to pull the covers to sleep, there were hairs in the sheets and the sheets were wrinkled in the shape of a person who had obviously slept there. In the second room they moved us to, they gave keys to a another person checking in so as we were getting ready, another person try to enter the room with a key. This happened TWICE in this second room. No matter where anyone travels to safety and cleanliness is a non-negotiable expectation of a hotel room.

There was one person working at the desk at my check in (5pm) and it appeared they were having issues with rooms being cleaned at that time. Sp that seemed to be holding up checkins. The front desk was short with me, didnt tell me anything about my stay (room location, breakfast time, check out). The place is in the process of being renovated, so far so good. Overall our room was clean, however there was what looked like make up on a pillow case and on the top cover. The bed was comfortable and pillows are like all hotels, squishy. There wasnt clear directions on vending machines, ice machines. Overall if needed, I would stay here again and give them a second chance but being in a clean room was what I look for.

This hotel ignored my reservation to be paid upon checkin, and instead billed my deposit card. The person who checked in my uncle said he paid too much and could get a lower rate walking in, and refused to accept card. I called desk the next day and asked to speak to a manager. I was told they'd call; they never did. Hotels.com told me it was my fault. Hugely disappointing, and have been improperly billed.

The room had seen better days. Upon entering the room it felt like it had been soaked in a rain storm. Everything just seemed like it had a bit of a dampness to it. I found a dried up contact lens in my bed when I woke up, and I don’t wear contacts, so this was an unhappy experience. The bathroom drain didn’t drain properly, so it kept filling up with water. When it finally dried up, there was grass in there. Gross.

While an effort was made to renovate the hotel. The quality of the workmanship is poor and incomplete. The bathroom was poorly done. I expected better from a BW.

Check in was slightly long. Room was not fully painted and not really clean. The towels were old and thin and hard. Our shower was in bad shape and only a trickle came out with the hot and cold in opposite positions, which we did not realize until the morning. There was a very strong and bad smell in the back of the hotel near our rooms and the exit like a locker room. This hotel had good reviews- I am unsure how. My sister stayed in a different room that was not clean, smelled bad when the heat was turned on and a clump of wet paper on the back of the toilet .
