Very nice staff at check-in and checkout.
We had a suite, which allowed more space. But there was no room division for privacy if needed. The mattress need replacing, rolled to one side.
There could be be more detailed cleaning. Really liked the airconditioner/heater with the temperature and fan control. We love having a constant fan blowing to provide noise control inside and out.
It was anEXCELLENT buffet breakfast, with plenty of room for seating and the food/coffee was spread out in 3 room areas. The omelets and sausage were restaurant quality. Many food choices provided.
Good location to the college campus, restaurants and freeways.

The front desk lady charged me a second time. I already paid pre-stay. Then she swipes my card for "incidentals". Only to have been charged for the same room AGAIN.. then i have to call for 10/15 minutes to figure out why. Zero stars.

This hotel was almost impossible to access as most roads were closed for the Iowa State football game. It took 15 minutes of driving through other hotel and random parking lots to finally access.
Upon checkin, we were rudely told the pool and hot tub were out of order. This is one of the reasons we chose this particular hotel. The kids love to swim.
The shower bathtub was a re-bath and sounded like the floor was giving out.
The mattress was very uncomfortable.
The breakfast had out of order waffles.
Overall, not a good stay.

When we arrived we were told that the pool was not available and was not for a few days. We planned on having our grandkids stay with us, they were the 2 kids on the reservation, and use the pool. We could have been notified, as they knew a few days in advance. The shower quit working in the middle of my shower - the front desk only said, I will tell maintenance, but I was checking out. There were a lot of things that should have been cleaner. All the door jams to every room were dirty and hadn't been cleaned in some time. The carpet in the hallways was needing replaced. The paint on the ceiling in the bathroom was all peeling off and the tub would hardly drain so you had to stand in water over your feet to shower. The lobby was super clean and cute but the rest of the interior needed work and better cleaning

A dog friendly hotel with a great area for dogs to walk and go potty. Conveniently located for dining, fuel, etc. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. My only complaint is that the pool area is run down. The painting on the concrete surrounding the pool is peeling off and looks awful.

The property is fine. The individual checking me was not interested in welcoming travelers. She didn't break a.smile once, she gave us a room as far away from the elevator as possible (we're in our 70's), she didn’t bother to tell us about breakfast, and directed us to park in the back of the hotel, when parking in the front (plenty of spaces) was actually closer to our room. Very dissatisfying short stay to visit Iowa state. Check in was not friendly, for some reason my room ticket or card wasn’t printed, which was odd, the WiFi connected but there was no internet at all, and no one at front desk to help the 800 number printed on the tiny piece of paper was a joke. Breakfast was cold, and had weird fried eggs, the worst the was US flag flying outside, all in tatters, very disrespectful. We won’t be staying again,
