The hotel is beautiful and clean. The natural surroundings added a touch of a tropical setting.
The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious but the lights were a bit dim. However, we enjoyed our overnight stay.
I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable hotel at a reasonable price. It is in a great location for anyone looking for great restaurants and shopping.

My family and I always stay here when we visit McAllen. Its a nice, quiet hotel that is also historic in downtown McAllen. It is also a great value too and there are fun restaurants, coffee/ wine bars within walking distance. Highly Recommend!

The staff at this hotel were all incredibly friendly and helpful. They made our stay more enjoyable especially the staff at the bar. Unfortunately, the rooms are pretty outdated and smelly.

I’m disable with food drop using a cane and booked a disable room.
When I went to use The toilet and reached for paper, the toilet lifted from its base as it was complete loose from “unattached”.
I almost felt down but was able to hold on from the sink.
Being 1am, waited until the morning to reach the front desk.
When I told them: The reply I got was “use the toilet in the lobby”. There is no maintenance here bcs it is Saturday.
I guess since I stayed there only one night it was not important enough to them. Extremely disappointed at the staff attitude especially bcs this was an urgent safety issue!!!

The check in was great but the card keys wouldn’t work and had to go the front three times to get them reprogrammed. The toilet wouldn’t flush entirety,maintenance didn’t come after telling the front desk. The pool wasn’t clean. It had a lot of floating debris including cigarette butts. The beds were comfortable tho.
