Beautiful property great restaurants near by. Very classy decor!

Beautiful historic building. Very clean. The complimentary coffee pods however were not very good

I'm a regular client of the Davenport and have loved it so much I brought my son, who has a birthday this week, to enjoy the hotel while I was here for work. We were having a wonderful time after a lunch at the Palm Grill, and decided to go for a swim. After rinsing off we noticed the pool deck was excessively slippery, so we walked VERY carefully. When we were all finished, he was putting his towel in the bin and fell hard. We took him to Sacred Heart and the ER diagnosed him with 3 wrist fractures. I let the front desk know, they were sorry but ultimately unhelpful. I was told by Security they would likely be able to help us with transport to the hospital. They did not. I had to call an Uber to get to the hospital and back. When we finally returned many hours later, we were relieved to be getting some food. Room service says it's available until 11pm but it was unavailable and shut down in the 9 o'clock hour. I attempted to contact hotel management and got no reply. No follow up. No care. The pool deck is dangerously, and I worry for other hotel clients safety.

The room was spacious and clean but it had no refrigerator or microwave. We stayed 3 nights and had to call twice each night for clean towels, garbage out,never had room service,

Beautiful property, friendly and helpful staff. Love the history and amenities available to the guests. The bathroom in our suite was still a bit dirty from previous guests and one of our towels had a noticeable brown stain.. Overall, small complaints for an otherwise great experience.

One disappointing thing…was we were told after 2 days, that we needed to REQUEST to have room refreshed (towels, etc) . Seriously???

What a lovely hotel

We’ve stayed at the Davenport many times and always had a great stay. However, this time we were very disappointed. Dinner at the Palm Court Grill was expensive and certainly not worth it in terms of quality. If I’m going to pay a fortune for a Caesar salad, I expect more than pre shredded Parmesan cheese on it. Our room was very clean but the mattress clearly needed to be replaced - it caved in the middle and we both kept rolling into it. The pillows had no stuffing left in them. The next morning, we tried to order room service. After unsuccessfully scanning the QR code on the menu (apparently, according to the front desk, it’s no longer in use but they haven’t taken it off the room menus), 3 calls to the front desk, 2 forwards to the hotel operator, 2 transfers to the Palm Court Grill where we were transferred to a message telling us to scan the QR code (the exact one that the front desk told us did not work) and someone from the desk walking over to the restaurant to ask them to call our room to take our order - we gave up. The restaurant never did call. So we checked out and went somewhere else for brunch. I expected more out of the Davenport. We won’t be back.

We have been coming to the Davenport for years just to see the Christmas decor. Last year my daughter (10) said she was going to ask Santa for a stay at the hotel. It was hard for me to make the reservation honestly. Parting with almost $300 is not easy. I did it though for her. We checked in on the 27th. Our valet was very kind. The front desk staff seemed overwhelmed, but was courteous. We got to our room, 624 and my girls were so excited! Upon inspection of the beds, we were completely grossed out about stains on the blanket and pillows. I work housekeeping, I know how hard it can be. Especially this time of year, but there is no way the gross spots should’ve been missed! The worst was at the “top” of the blanket (which was actually the bottom with the tag) that was up at my daughter’s face! There was a blood stain on at least one of the pillows. I didn’t make a big fuss about it, because that’s not me. It was really disappointing though. When all was said and done, it was almost $350 for us to stay the one night! That is for the room, parking, tax…not sure what else. The front desk agent when I checked in said something about a $50 refund? Haven’t seen it. It is a lot of money for our family. We chose to spend it at the Davenport and left feeling disappointed. We thought we’d at least get a clean room. Glad we stayed once, but will not stay again. We will stick with the Oxford suites down the river. I have photos, not sure how to share them.

This property and staff were absolutely phenomenal. Will be making this trip back annually, and this is the only place I will be staying.

Great service. Lots of sirens.

I love the Davenport, however they are beginning to price themselves out. Had problems with shower maintaining temperature.
