We've stayed at various hotels in Mason over the years and this Hampton Inn is by far the best.We arrived early and the staff allowed us to check in early; great customer service. Our king bedroom was very spacious with a nice business desk and recliner. A large fridge was nice. We had an ADA shower, which we didn't require, however found it's much nicer than a tub. The breakfast are is nice with a variety of seating styles. Nancy kept the area clean and stocked and puts a lot of effort into making it nice. The exercise room was clean with nice equipment. If we're ever back in mason we'll definitely stay here.

The gentleman that checked me in was terrific. The room is spacious and it has a nice aesthetic. That said, it's nearly thirty years old and some of it seems a bit dated. The location is near the I-71 freeway which is fine but it's also on a generic deadened street. Doesn't seem to have much charm or character.

Clean, spacious rooms and breakfast room. Very nice and helpful hostess at breakfast. We told the (mufflehead) desk clerk that the bath tub didnt drain well so they will take care of it. All in all it was a good overnight stay

The property itself is in good condition -- not pristine, but quite sufficient. The staff kept everything very clean, so no complaints there. Overall the staff seemed very friendly and happy to be there, which seems to suggest a good management and a good working environment. Aia at the front desk was extremely helpful, personable and competent, and made us feel welcomed and valued. Nancy did a great job with the included breakfast, which might be the best I've experienced. The operation was well organized, with signs telling you exactly where and when to expect everything (coffee always!). The selection was just right, not too fancy, and the food was all of good quality. And again, everything was kept spotless. I have saved this place in my favorites and will definitely return here the next time I'm in the area. For my budget, I can't imagine finding anything better.

The property was well-kept, the staff was very friendly, the room was comfortable and clean. It was near restaurants, gas stations, and a Kroger. We travel through his way often, and this will be our new place to stay!

We were given a room walked in and it was still dirty. Bed was not made, towels on floor in bathroom, and obviously not clean. Went to front desk and they then gave us another room, 2 bottles of water and said sorry. The breakfast was a bust! Just some smoke sausage that was tough and premade school stlye omelet with cheese that was all baked out of it. Just not very good! The only thing great was the bed. It was comfortable and slept well. The establishment is just outdated and needs some TLC.

I was given a room on the first floor that had black mold on the bathroom ceiling. You could see that there had been damage to the ceiling at some point. I requested a different room as I am highly allergic to mold. The second room was on the second floor and also had mold spots on the ceiling. There is a bulge in the drywall of the ceiling which looks like water damage. I stayed overnight with the bathroom door closed and left the next morning. I forwarded pictures to the desk clerk, who forwarded them to her manager. I was told that I would receive a refund but have yet to see it after 3 days. I reached out through Expedia and have yet to receive a response.

The person that checked us in was kinda rude and unfriendly. I thought that extraordinary attention was given to the check in process, even though I had pre- registration, I was asked for my drivers license, last four numbers of my social and my home address. I understand the need for identification. But I thought that was a little overboard! Also, I was not credited for my Military discount. When checking out I had to ask for a receipt. Which distracted me from checking on the military discount. However, I assumed that I would be automatically credited the discount as I had pre-registered with Hotel.com and that was a part of the quote. That should have been a given! A little RUDE all the way around,don’t you think?

MAKE SURE YOU CHECK FOR BUGS AND THAT THEY CHANGED THE LINENS! Every time I go to a hotel the first thing I always do is check for bugs. I instantly noticed that the bed had hairs in it, looked like pubic hair and we hadn’t even lied down yet. I didn’t see any bed bugs which was awesome. I flipped over the pillow and saw a live lice bug! I went to the front desk and complained. The man wanted to argue and say that he knew the room had been cleaned and had fresh linens which was clearly not true. Eventually he gave up and they gave me a whole new room. This room didn’t have bugs but the walls are so thin you hear EVERYTHING outside and in the hallways and next door. I tried to use the AC fan to cover the noise. It worked somewhat but I ended up getting congested from the dirty musty filter they had inside it. The bathroom had mold on the roof. Not sure why this hotel has an 8/10 rating. Definitely NOT deserved.
