Overnight trip to visit family. The hotel is always clean and comfortable. There’s a good selection of snacks and quick bites in the lobby and the area is adding a lot of new food options. Great location for the Dunes right off the toll road and close to the freeway.

We checked in, left about 11:00 with kids running around for a football trip. Wasn’t worth staying for us. Drove home. The hotel needs to better manage large groups. Kids throwing footballs in the lobby. The lower level where our rooms was ended up being a play ground for kids. Good hotel. Poor control of guests. Waste of our money.

I have mixed emotions about this property. Overall, as a place to lay our heads for one night, it was fine. The room was clean and a very nice size for a family of four. We were in town for a football tournament so I also give thumbs up for location convenience. However, the advertised amenities such as the whirlpool, buffet breakfast, etc., were subpar. One of the staff was also very rude to our children. I would expect the amenities to be much better given the cost of our stay. The breakfast "buffet" consisted of bagels, cereal, grits, and I think yogurt. No protein, no fruit. For $10 per person that is woefully unacceptable. The whirlpool/hot tub was also inoperable all weekend. Coffee was not available all day, as advertised and the hotel was understaffed so the bar was closed for a portion of our. I would recommend for cleanliness, size, and proximity to Chesterton High School. However, don't expect much beyond that. Without said amenities, I would say it's overpriced but it is a safe, clean place to stay.

Spent 4 nights. Our daughter got married and hotel was located nearby. It was clean, staff were friendly and showed initiative in several situations, the space hasn’t been updated since it opened several years ago, but it is definitely well tended. The bathroom, while small, was well appointed with extra towels and decent shower pressure. Would benefit from a nice vent/fan for various reasons, but overall, the bathroom was nice and modern. The room colors were warm and we loved the large television and reading lamps. Hilton did well with this location!

It doesn’t make sense to me that for almost 350 a night, and what seemed almost every room filled, they’re not investing back into the property. From broken mirrors in the hallway, broken blinds in my room, a significant amount of grout missing on the bathroom floor. I won’t be going back.
