Holiday Inn Express & Suites SAGINAW, an IHG Hotel

I love this place because it’s very nice, convenient and quiet. Affordable and safe.

Great Staff!

They double booked my room that was specifically asked for with little compensation.

The staff was great with our hockey team with all the kids very helpful and wonderful

The rooms where clean, staff was great and breakfast was wonderful

Everything was good until we tried to sleep. People above us stomped around all night. Front desk called them and they kept getting hung up on. Eventually the partying stopped. Only got 2 hours sleep. Wouldn’t give us a discount because we purchased the room through Expedia…

I booked online and the ONLY part of the hotel that looked like the pictures is the pool room. Literally everything else was completely different from the front desk and breakfast area to the room we had. The room was clean but but absolutely was NOT what I thought I was getting compared to the pictures. The bed wasn’t even a hotel bed it was a metal frame on wheels and like a foot off the ground. Above all before I even booked I called the hotel and said “ hi I’m looking to book on Expedia and it says something about a deposit but doesn’t say how much so I was just calling to ask about that”. Made it clear I was booking with Expedia.. Who ever I talked to replied to me“Yes are you from the area?”(I said no I’m about a half hour away) she then said “Yes as long as your not from the area and your license doesn’t say your from Saginaw then it will be a 50 deposit but if you’re from here it will be 250”I then repeated” ok I’m from about a half hour away so I will have to pay a $50 deposit and I get that back when I check out?”Her reply was“ yes sir you will get your 50 deposit back upon checkout“With that being said upon check in the lady at the front desk was very rude to me just because I asked a couple questions.. and then she says “you do have to pay a 250 deposit”I informed her about the conversation I had over the phone and that I was told it would be a 50 deposit. She was very snotty about it and said”well like I said u have a 250 deposit” was very rude. Won’t be be back

Great service

There were children above us that were extremely loud and disruptive. Otherwise, the stay was fine. The staff/housekeepers were very responsive.

Easy access and very safe

We needed a place to crash for the evening, this worked out perfectly.

The location is good

Parking was inconvenient but everything else was great!

We did not get the room we had reserved due to booking with a third party. Ended up having to get two queens and rolling out own cot to the room. Not happy

The location was good and the staff was friendly this hotel did exactly what we needed it to.

We booked four rooms three were supposed to be poolside, our rooms were overbooked after I confirmed them the weekend before. We ended up with only one room poolside they gave our other two rooms to somebody else. They did end up comping one of our rooms. But then they raised the price of our other two rooms. When I was there the weekend before they also had issues with overbooking other peoples rooms. The hot tub Was not up to temp and the water smelled really bad and it was a greenish color

When we checked in the staff was so friendly. The asked the reason for the visit and when we said shopping they gave us some great tips. We went to our room and I moved the pillow and there was some nasty boogers on the headboard. Hotel was full so the general manager came and cleaned it. She was friendly and apologized for the mess. You could hear the person walking upstairs. Breakfast bar was not tended to and lots of empty serving dishes. It was not one of the better Holiday Inns.
