The gentleman at the front desk was such a great guy! I love his energy! He greeted us enthusiastically each time we came in the front door and assisted us when needed! His friendly demeanor was very pleasant to experience! His energy was very contagious!

This is an accommodating Holiday Inn Express hotel. It is very near the Rushmore mall and associated shopping. Downtown Rapid City is a ways away. One would not be able to walk from this hotel to any other business. There are a couple of gas stations, nearby, and the hotel is just off interstate 90. The hotel has a nice swimming pool. The room was clean and well put together. Breakfast was good. This is a fairly good choice for shopping and for traveling on interstate 90.

Exceptionally clean room as well as common areas in the hotel. It was easy to walk with my cane as it has a zero-step entrance which I very much appreciated. The front desk associate was pleasant and helpful in assuring us our room would be located near the entrance so as to not require a lot of walking due to recent knee pain.We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful offerings at the complimentary breakfast! It was impressive that they had some gluten free selections, as well as for lactose intolerant individuals. There was a wide variety of food options- literally something for everyone plus plenty of comfortable seating options. The pool area looked very accommodating and family friendly, although we didn’t use that facility. Very nice place to stay and highly recommend it for anyone.

We stayed in the presidential suite with the jacuzzi tub. The room and jacuzzi were nice. The main complaint we had when we arrived was that the comforter on the bed had dried barbecue sauce or some sort of sauce dried on it all the way down the side of the comforter. We went down to the desk to let them know, and they gave us a new comforter for us to take care of it. It made us question whether the room was properly cleaned.

Room 314 has a large depression/sag in the mattress, making sleeping very uncomfortable. The mattress needs replaced immediately! The shower drain does not drain and you have to stand in a deep pool of water. The hallway carpet was in need of a good vacuuming. The whole place seemed like it was in need of a good cleaning and some repairs. We stayed here last year and can see a major difference. We won’t stay in this location again. Holiday Inn is usually our go to chain of hotels but this one is not recommended.

Booked a double queen room for 2 nights. Upon checking in and entering the room, one bed clealy hadnt had the sheets changed and the bed was made nicely but the sheets were full of hair and dirt. The room also smelled like mildew and cigarette smoke.
The front desk employee was able to give us new sheets to put on both beds. Not ideal, but hey its clean sheets.
Breakfast was ok. Pretty picked over. There weren't many people in the seating area while we were there, but most of the tables were dirty so it must have been busy at some point. I could tell there would have been more food options as bins were sitting empty in a few areas.
Hot tub was warm, towels were stocked.
Honestly a lot of my poor review comes from the dirty sheets and room smell. I don't smoke and I really don't enjoy the smell. I also would prefer to change my sheets while im on vacation. Most motels I have previously stayed at have enployed some sort of housekeeping staff.
Decent place, nothing to write home about for us.

Part of the reason we chose this hotel was for the pool area because it looked great for little kids. It is great for kids but not little little kiddos. We have a 2 year old and thought it looked like a splash pad area which would be perfect. It was a little intense for little ones and she didn’t like it at all. It was like standing in a strong shower and no chance to not get sprayed. If you were in the pool area you were getting sprayed. And every couple of minutes the large bucket of water would empty and dump out a ton of water. If a 2 year old was under it they would probably be knocked over. So yeah. If you want the pool area for little ones it works if your kids are on the older side but not so much for 2-3 year olds. Awesome for mid to older kids but not toddlers. It ended up working out if we just didn’t turn the water on and then she could play in the 1 foot water but if anyone else was around then the water was going.
Everything else was great. Nice hotel.

I loved that the room was very spacious. I was very please with the gal at the front desk accommodating me with a bathroom with grab bars as i just had hip surgery 2 months again.
