Homewood Suites by Hilton New Orleans

everything was excellent, except pool was always closed and they didn’t mention it on the website.

This might not be a new hotel, but read quite recently renovated (probably 2 years ago). The lobby was great, with water and coffee & tea provided and a game table for the children. You need room key to tap to enter the hotel, which I think is positive for security reason. The pool was not working when we checked in - was told under repair, which was a disappointment because the children were looking forward to get some swim during 3 nights stay there. But finally they got the swim the morning when we were checking out, so that's ease the disappointment to the kids a little bit. We stayed during Christmas, so there were snacks provided on Christmas night, which was great! We love the room we stayed in, quite reasonably spacious given its around downtown New Orleans. View would probably not the main thing to see cause its surrounded by another high risers. There was probably a fumigation machine left in the room when we entered in the middle of the walk way (not sure it was left there on purpose or forgotten), but its good to know that its probably fumigated before we arrive. The breakfast was superb, constantly refilled. Might want to get your breakfast earlier to get seats or tables are they tend to fill up quite quickly after 8 am. Parking is valet parking, which was $50 with in and out privilege. There are also a lot of parking garages around the hotel that within minutes walk for cheaper rate. 10 minutes walk to the famous Bourbon St with many restaurants there.

The breakfast was phenomenal! Everyday is a little different. Stayed here with my mom and two 12 year olds and really enjoyed our stay.
