Hyland Motel Brea

My family had an extended stay at this hotel and we were pleasantly surprised at how clean, comfortable and safe it was. The maid service is wonderful. Jimi the Hotel Concierge was exceptional. Very professional, kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend staying here to anyone who needs a comfortable yet safe and inexpensive place to stay on a trip or staycation or for any reason at all! Thank you Jimi and Hyland for your hospitality!

Easy check in quiet place

The building appears to be shaped kind of like an L at one end there’s been a pile of bedding in front of a door since we checked in earlier today. Parking is slightly limited. I noticed several open condom wrappers in the rocks around the doors and on the far side where the turf is smells of animal feces and you can see it all over the turf as well. Not talking about a few piles I’m talking about loads of piles. The front desk man that checked me in was not friendly whatsoever but was quick to get me done.

Hyland Motel is a pleasant place to stay! The rooms are cozy, affordable, and located near many stores and restaurants! I recommend this motel to anyone staying in Brea!

It was decent for the price. It was overall clean but it could have been cleaner such as the remote being dirty, the upholstery on one chair looked like it needed a scrubbing or just throw it out and keep the pleather chairs and lastly there was a short dark hair strand under the blanket which could have easily fell from the cleaners so I let it go. The other areas were clean along with the bathroom which was great. I did not like that you could not higher the tv volume pass 15 and there seemed to be construction going on in the morning which sucked especially when you can barely hear the tv. We didn’t stay inside long and it seemed to be over when we got back so it wasn’t a deal breaker. I did like the mirror which was super cute along with the amenities such as coffee, fridge and microwave. Beds were okay, did the job for the night. Cozy property with free parking. Cafe across the street was good and there is hamburgers next door and the mall is close by. Staff were very friendly. I would stay again! Do recommend if you want some privacy on a budget.

No one at the property other than painters. No one at the front desk. Office was closed. Could not check in..

Close to everything. Restaurants, golf, shopping entertainment venues.

It was clean. It was quiet. The service was great. I will be there again.

Check in was great. In the room, however, there was a leak from the toilet, and the TV remote didnt work (and no way to turn the TV on manually). When i called the front desk about it, no one answered. I DID mention it to the front desk upon departure.

It looks like a recent renovation was done. The room was small but very clean. We just needed a place for one night and found this property more than adequate. The value was there. Dont expect 5 star amenities for one-star prices.
