I always like Microtel and this one is one of the best - clean, nice staff, easy accessible. I especially like the 24 hour availability of coffee, hot water, drinking water in the lobby. Also, very close to Ghent!

The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean. The bathroom door had a large crack in it but it didn't bother us. Overall a good stay for the price. The staff was excellent and friendly.

At first, this place looks very rudimentary, But as a very captious person, I really cannot figure out anything they did not well.
Compared to some more costly places like 5 starts I stayed:
AC ran well, water was warm enough, plenty of parking, no foul odor, didn't see roaches, had a warm pool, sufficient contents for breakfast, a working computer and printer, able to opened window, bright lumination, clean tub, free fresh potable water...
And finally, very reasonable price at this era!

Clean and quiet. Good bed. Good array of breakfast foods.
Staff cordial and efficient.
Never did figure out how to manage the TV. It had to be operated from the set rather than the remote and it was beyond me.
There were a lot of very tiny ants in the bathroom.
Typical of budget motels, there was only one chair in a room rented to accommodate two. Not everyone wants to spend the whole evening in bed.

Tried to take a shower the tub would not drain neither would the sink. The entire furst floor anlong woth the elevator reeked of Marijuana. It was so bad it took your breath. There was black hair on the towels and the pillows were like just laying on the bed they flat as a pancake
