Residence Inn by Marriott Kansas City Airport

Hotel beds and pillows were comfortable but need more upgrade in the bathroom especially the bathtub and toilet bowl looked old. Sofa in the living room had stains. But overall our stay was good.

We have stayed at this Residence Inn multiple times since it opened. We hadn't gone in a few years and that may have been wise. This weekend was awful. There was hair in the shower, the dishes they had in the cabinets were dirty, lights, sinks, and door handles weren't properly working, and the tvs were glutching often. The staff was jind, but they didn't seem to onow what they were doing. The location definitely needs maintenance work done, cleaning needs to be inspected, by manager, and reteaing off desk staff and possibly housekeepers needs to take place.

Room was a tad cool because of the sliding door and it was very cold outside. Staff was great!

We love the suite we stayed in. Our family of us as grandparents and two daughters’ families were able to meet and enjoy Christmas together. Our family except for us live in the KC area so this worked out perfectly. The lobby is quiet, spacious and comfortable. Though we did not use the pool we did use the fitness room which was nice. We chose your hotel for the spaciousness of the living and kitchen area of the suite. It was exactly what we had hoped. It was the perfect Stay-cation for our family. The kids were able to sleep at home and still meet with us, and we had the privacy of comfortable sleep each night.

Do NOT stay at the residence inn by MCl! The room wasn't as clean as it should have been but that was the least of the issues we had! All of this trip was a parent's night away/a birthday gift and it was miserable. Terrible front desk clerk with attitude when i had been nothing but kind and patient from the moment i walked in to check in. To top that, they don't have a hot tub anymore which is why we booked this specific hotel, and we didn't find out till 2 hours b4 check in (too late to cancel... of course!) and the TV in the bedroom didn't work but they wouldn't move us rooms so we got to stair at the ceiling and twiddle our thumbs... waste of money and time! I'd rather have been home with my baby girl! PLUS at 12am the room next to us had an aggressive man slamming doors, yelling and what sounded like domestic abuse.. i was terrified and bawling and they STILL didn't move us rooms. Absolutely the worst night in a hotel i have ever experienced and coincidentally the manager on duty when we checked out was too busy to talk to us about the issues! I would give zero stars if i could! Do better.

The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was awesome and fluffy. And they've literally thought of everything from dishes to cleaning supplies. The pool was clean and the breakfast was delicious I would definitely recommend

Staff was super friendly, check in was fast. Rooms were nice & very comfortable.

Booked the 2 bedroom suite with the fireplace. My sister and her family also stayed. I secured the room with the fireplace because we were visiting Jingle in KC it’s an OUTDOOR light experience that you walk through. I knew it would be cold and the kids would need to warm up. Checking in finding that my sister was on a different floor, and told because this specific type of room with the fireplace was the only option available. Then to find out the fireplace had been broken and they “have been waiting on parts”. The kids were freezing and the spacing far enough away made for most certainly separate vacations instead of togetherness. Very disappointing as we live states away from one another. Was told to ask Hotels for the refund. Maybe Marriott could add points.

My stay was great. The hotel was very accommodating which made our stay pleasant and enjoyable.

We didn’t get the room we had reserved. The bathroom sink had a stopper that we couldn’t get to open completely. But t the rest of the stay was fine. The front desk person when we arrived was belligerent, but another person who worked the front desk the day we left was very polite and very friendly and accommodated our needs very nicely.

I was disappointed to hear that the fireplaces were shut off. I specifically booked a fireplace room, but they were off for the season. The pool was a bit murky the first few days, but they fixed it. The spa was completely gone - didn't get that email until I arrived. Lastly, I had called to confirm a first floor room weeks ahead of time, but none were available when I arrived. The elevator was fine, but first floor would have been much better since I was traveling with two people in their 80s. Staff was very nice.

One problem I encountered was the soap in the bathroom made the bathtub way to slippery I slipped a couple of times in the bathtub luckily, I managed to stabilize myself against the wall and prevented a fall. Maybe putting a non-slip mat in the tub for seniors could prevent an accident. Second, I had a difficult time accessing the internet for my tablet, what the front desk was telling me on how to gain access did not work they shrugged me off and told me to call a 1-800 number to call to diagnose the problem. I'm not good with current technology I'm still living in the 70s so I had a lot of difficulty understanding and implementing the changes to gain access to the internet, in the end he accessed my IP number, and I was able to gain access.

The hotel was great except for the plumbing. We had to request a plunger for the toilet as soon as we arrived and used it for every flush. The water pressure in the shower was very light as well. The breakfast was terrific, the lobby was beautiful, and the pool was great.
