We spent 3 nights at this charming older property. The Mizzentop building only has rooms facing the harbor and a direct view of Bar Island and the Porcupines. The Great Room has its own bartender and there was a piano player for entertainment every night. Cute gift shop in the lobby and multiple coffee stations. Never got to the indoor pool/hot tub but wish we had.

The Bluenose Inn is a top notch facility with beautiful views of the harbor. The restaurant is just a short walk away and also has fabulous views of the bay and a great breakfast.

Amazingly comfortable place, loved the piano player and the great room. Walkable to downtown. Huge bathroom. Would highly, highly recommend!

This property has been great for two stays now and the staff is awesome! The construction is kind of distracting, but the progress is good. I was a bit disappointed that they are removing the gas fireplaces during room updates, but I do understand the safety aspect. This is definitely a property that embraces the past era it represents and in that way creates it’s charm.

The hotel part of the Bluenose Inn was a perfectly acceptable place. It is dated, but pleasant. The view from our room was wonderful, the bed wasn't the best, but not horrible. The place was very clean. The whole vibe is very 1960s....but that isn't bad.
The horrible part of the stay was the restaurant. Truly some of the worst food I have ever had anywhere. Burnt coffee, inedible oatmeal (how do you ruin oatmeal???), bad service. I don't know if it was just a day that the cook didn't show up to work....or if this was their norm. I didn't try it a second time.

This is a classic hotel with great views, excellent staff support and stones throw to downtown.

The rooms are spacious with lovely design. There was a sitting area with a fireplace. The large bathroom had two sinks. The breakfast at the Looking Glass was delicious. There was piano entertainment in the lounge. And the location is very close to the village and the national park.

Our room was comfortable and quiet with a great view from our balcony. We really enjoyed the piano player (Bill).
The pool and other amenities were great!
We like to walk, but the return up the darkened drive at night was challenging (we altered our schedule after the first experience so that we would return at dusk or earlier). We realize that there is bus service, but again, we prefer to walk if possible.

The Bluenose Inn was wonderful…clean, comfortable, beautiful view, extremely nice staff. Staying there was such a treat! Also, our room was large with a fireplace, couch, two chairs, double sinks in the bathroom, fridge, microwave, a Keurig, two comfy bathrobes and large closet. This is opposite of the current trend in hotels. Another sweet treat was Coffee 24-7!! We will definitely come back and recommend to our friends😍

Nice comfortable and quiet. Dinning was average. No staff to shlep bags, I was willing to tip, tired from long drive and nobody at the door.
