I loved staying here! I was a little disappointed that my dog didn’t receive any of their advertised “pet program perks” and wasn’t informed that the restaurant was closed on Monday morning. I’m not from the area so I was unaware that they’re only open on Mondays during the season. I also had a group of kids partying very loudly in the room next to me. I had to call the front desk twice to get someone to go over there to quiet down. Other than those few things, I found that the staff was very friendly and the room was cozy! I loved the location and will definitely be back! Loved the coffee and tea provided including the electric kettle!

Nice, updated room. The hotel itself is more motel-style, but modernized. The lobby is pretty and has a cafe/restaurant which we didn't have time to try. There was some noise, but we always bring earplugs, so it wasn't a big concern. My main complaint would be that the pillows were too firm, and there were no alternative options. It's much nicer when there are both firm and soft pillows available.

It was a great experience. There was a cooler to use in the room for excursions. They would provide a tent for kids for fee. S’mores were available for the campfire. The beds were comfortable. The amenities were only open on certain days.

Walls are SO THIN! Don’t stay here if you are a sensitive sleeper! The hotel has a fresh, modern design. The staff are very nice. They offer cool experiences, like smores by the fire pit in the evening. That being said, you can absolutely tell that this used to be a discount motel. They gave the property a cosmetic facelift, but the walls are paper thin and you can hear every single movement and step from the people in the room above or next to you. If anything, make sure you request or pay extra to be on the second floor…

The room felt a bit smaller than I expected or saw in photos. The heater didn't work for some reason either night. Not a deal breaker, but it got a little chilly. There were a ton of mosquitos in our room when we first arrived, but once I killed them they didn't come back.

It was our home camp in between hikes and it was just perfect. The main lobby, the restaurant and fire pit areas were awesome. Would return in the future!

Clean, minimalist rooms and the staff is friendly. Location to downtown Estes is terrific. Shower didn’t drain and the water pressure was miserable. AC/heat never kicked on and was indecipherable, honestly. Worst part was the noise: the walls are unbelievably thin: you will hear everything above and around you. If you want to sleep in past 5am or just get a good nights rest, do not stay here. Even with AirPods in all night, I was awakened by talking, snoring, toilets flushing, and stomping (probably just walking!) above and around me. If not for the sound issue, I would strongly recommend this place. As such, I won’t be returning.

Trailborne made our 6 nights in Estes Park wonderful. Almost every aspect of the property is excellent, for the price paid. The staff was very attentive. The property is walking distance from great points of interest in the town. Plus we had great, 4-legged visitors (elk) a couple mornings. Lastly, the restaurant at the hotel is a great add.

This is a very cute, simply done, remodel of an old motel. Comfortable with easy access to walk into town. We will be back for sure!

The walls are very thin between these rooms. You can hear EVERYTHING! This is an old motel that has been remodeled and it is esthetically pleasing, but is very basic in amenities. That being said there is a Mexican restaurant on site and we had the breakfast burritos 2 times. It was really good. Never made it to the dinner. Elk showed up on the property a few mornings and that was exciting. The location is great. Walk to downtown.

The room was big and the people were terrific but it was not worth the price I paid. The price was triple what our friends paid when they stayed (probably because there was a Scottish festival in town). SPECIAL NOTE: they allow dogs but only on the first floor. We found this out when someone left their whiney dog in the room next door. Felt sorry for the dog. The bathroom sink clogged. The heater didn't work so the first night was cold. Didn't try the restaurant because the eating area was small and the food we saw didn't impress us. The margaritas we had were good. The manager did give me a 10% discount for our troubles but that doesn't make a big difference when your paying triple the normal rate. I'd have to get a really good deal to stay here again.

Live music in the evening. S’mores around the fire pit after that was included. Very nice. Got to chat with other travelers.

We enjoyed a stay at Trailborn Rocky Mountains while visiting Estes for the Longs Peak Scottish Irish Highland Festival. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, parking was easy and we had choices of many restaurants within walking distance. It was a great place to stay!
