Nowhere stated i had to pay £21 for parking, used card details as believed this was for standard for hotels as a guarentee yet card tapped and £21 taken out of my account.
Could not use water after 9.p.m due to a shortage. So coming in from a concert and having to gonto bed covered in spilt alchol and sweat was not a nice experience, would have asked for a replacement hotel if we knew before check-in.
Brekfast was not worth money paid for and selection of drinks at the bar was limited due to half of it being out of stock.
Room and Hotel itself lovely and one of the comfiest beds slept in a hotel

Had girls doing videos in changing rooms how i was trying to change , jacuzzi wasnt working , pool wasnt up to standards , overall not happy as was looking forward to pool and jacuzzi my daughter was disappointed too.

Not much we didn't like. Handy to trains ( our preferred method of transport), to Cardiff central, and easy to get in and out. Lifts are confusing and can leave before you get to the door. Dining room very good, commend the chef. And the more than adequate room had a bath! A rarity in hotels these days but very welcome. We've never stayed in a bad Mercure, that remains the case.

The hotel was very freshly decorated, with some lovely but not excessive amounts of Xmas decs. The room was generously sized, warm and had everything we needed. However on the second day no room service happened, so we had to ask for the minimum of towels and tea tray top up. Staff were all very pleasant and breakfast was very good too. All in all a very good, reasonably priced place to stay.

Shower was cold and sink blocked.
Tv had 3 working channels, room was like an oven and would not cool down. Lifts noisy next to the room.

Stayed for work event and wouldn't stay here again. Paid £170 for the room £21 for parking. The room was very outdated and cold. Holes and stains all over the carpet. Room didn't include breakfast so find the cost very unreasonable considering the state of the hotel. Definitely needs investment in the rooms.
