We checked into the hotel on the 10th and scheduled to check out on the morning of the 13th. We were in town for a wedding with our two kids. Upon checking in we were upgraded to a suite by the lovely staff as our room was not ready. Unfortunately upon getting to the room at roughly 10pm the heat never came on and the suite stayed at a rather chilly 63 degrees after the heating unit went out on the roof. We informed the front desk on the morning of the 11th and around 8pm on the 11th the hotel maintenance team showed up and fixed the heating unit on the roof. We also notified the front desk that during the day we lost water and that there were no trash cans in our hotel room, anywhere. We were told that there weren’t trash cans available cause the hotel is going under renovations. There was no running water to the suite to flush toilets or for running water to get cleaned up. Due to the staff not being able to fix this issue we resorted to having to go to a friends house to shower and get cleaned up. Water was finally fixed the evening before we left.

Beautiful property. We always stay there when we visit family. Very relaxing atmosphere away from the busy strip, love that it’s surrounded by waterfalls as you walk in the garden. Highly recommended

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would stay there agin but I will comment on things that needed improving... I did not realize how far away from the strip the hotel was and incurred 400.00 in uber fees but this is no fault of the hotel. Additionally, we were misinformed though that there was a shuttle from the hotel to the strip. We arrived late on Friday evening having traveled from South Florida. I thought it was impersonal and exhausting to drag our luggage from the hotel lobby all the way to the Palms tower on our own. A bellman or cart would have been helpful. On several occasions we asked concierge or front desk attendants about various hotel accommodations (one being about the pool, one about rampart card, and one about drinks) and the answers were brief and somewhat unfriendly. Lastly, I asked for housekeeping service on the Saturday of our first full day and was told we may have missed the time (which we did) but then our room was not cleaned on Sunday either. Our towels had been refreshed upon request but our dirty towels had been piling up in the bathroom for three nights and our beds were never made. I am a Bonvoy member and always try to stay at a participating Marriot property.

A really lovely resort hotel. We had a large, first floor room that was clean and well appointed with a patio. The staff was universally friendly and helpful. Restaurants were ok. It is an approximately 20 minute ride to the strip (+\- $30 Uber ride).

Liked that although the property was in Las Vegas, it didn’t feel like LV. Beautiful grounds and good restaurants.

We had a really great stay here. Our room was spacious and had a great view of the mountains, every single staffer was really kind and helpful, the food was tasty (we only tried the Earl Grey Cafe but would have tried others if we had had more time), the casino was the perfect size (not too overwhelming, but a great variety), and the salon was beautiful. It was too chilly for the pool, but the grounds were gorgeous and the property on the whole felt light and airy. Plus it’s great to be off the strip to easily explore other areas in Summerlin and nearby. (And the Uber to the strip was only 20 minutes, so don’t let the distance deter you.) It really was the whole package- thank you! We’ll be back!

Overall our stay at JW Marriott was good. Our suite conditions were just not at its best. We had cabinets with chipped wood coming off. Floors were stained and did not seem very clean. Shower was a bit dirty and did not drain as it’s suppose to. Location was great and quiet. Would definitely reconsider next time as this is suppose to be a luxurious hotel.

We always love staying here and will continue to do so. But we didn’t get maid service the whole time we were there. Even though we asked twice.

The hotel property is expensive and requires you to pay an additional resort fee. From the photos it looks like a posh resort so price and description suggests its worth the price. However, when we went to the pool, the bar was all but closed down and no promised food service by the pool, the hot tubs was not working and the cushions on chairs were stained, torn and looked as old as the hotel. The food at the resort was extremely underwhelming but to go offsite required you organizing transportation. No concierge services. In summary, expensive, no wow, no services, no shows, old & tired feeling and way out of the way from everything Vegas is known for.

Property nice overall, though common areas could be cleaner and are showing wear. Service was good with exception of policy that I had to take my young daughter into the smokey casino area to request a bandaid because apparently the front desk can't provide a bandaid and a "report needs to be filed". Though this was not actually the case, it would be nice if the front desk could just provide these. Breakfast at the restaurant was subpar. The pool area was nice though pool furniture was quite worn.

What stood out the most for us was the friendliness of the staff. They went above and beyond and always greeted us with smiles and politeness. That, in and of itself, will make us return customers. The property is very nice. Our room was neat and clean and had all the neccessities we desired.

Hidden resort fees even though I paid on Expedia. The cost of items in the hotel were crazy expensive. A normal grande latte at Starbucks was $10

The JW Marriott is a beautiful property as you drive up to the valet parking. Valet immediately welcomed me and provided me with valuable information about the two towers as I was unfamiliar with the layout of the hotel. Entering the first tower lobby, the entry is wide open, bright, and attractive. Front desk staff were helpful and accommodating to a few requests that I asked for. My room was clean, and the views from my window enjoyable. I checked out the Spa but wasn't able to use it this trip. I had dinner at the Italian restaurant (Spiedini Fiamma) where the food was very good and the customer service - excellent. I would recommend the Burrata with the Meiomi Pinot Noir and the Porcini Crusted Salmon with the Santa Margherita, Pinot Grigio. I also found the sports book exceptional - staff friendly and attentive. Breakfast at the Cafe' was probably the only disappointment. The food was overcooked - especially the omelet. I would stay at this property again without hesitation.
