The Good Points; Friendly and helpful staff. Good parking on site. Decent shower. The Bad Points; Room was tired and in need of refurbishment. Mattress and pillows were poor and in need of replacing. No mattress protection. Well used polyester duvet. Didn’t get a good sleep.

Staff are friendly an it was clean food was great definitely stay there again an will be recommended it to family an friends x

A great hotel with a nice location to get around to things.

For the price it had everything it needed. We had an executive room, which didn't seem anything special, so wonder what was better than a standard room. The bed was comfy though and given that we were right next to the road, it was very quiet. The staff were lovely and very quick to assist. I'd recommend if you just need somewhere as a stop off or as a base to travel out from.

Budget stay. Room was average not as clean and comfy as other Ramada hotels but not unpleasant. Toilet was in an awkward position, very close to wall. Cooked breakfast not very appetising and left out for quite a while. Reasonable cold offering of cereal, toast, yoghurt, pastries, etc. Service a little bit slow when checking in and out but not unreasonable. Hotel was pretty noisy at night when staying on new year's eve - keep your window closed.

Very functional clean and roomy executive room. Poor internet signal which was disappointing but otherwise ideal

Check in was friendly Disappointed to find that our room wasn't serviced between the 2 nights. I don’t expwxt fresh towels but a top up of tea and coffee and clean cups would have been appreciated. Also, the shower gel was empty. Noone has checked that for a while. The hotel is a little tatty and worn- could do with some new carpets and a bit of a refurb

The room itself was fine and clean the only problem was that the heater was not working. I only noticed this when I came in to go to bed and it was very late so I decided not to contact reception due to the time in the morning (2.30am) Safe to say the room was very cold and I had to sleep in clothes under the duvet.

Ideal location to visit our daughter about 10 minutes away. Easy free parking on arrival. Service all fine. Beds very comfortable, took our own pillows as always. Would've preferred to be away from the lift area, but not too noisy overall.

The hotel was basic and comfortable. I only paid £50 per night so wasn’t expecting the Ritz. The room was clean and tidy. There were random hairs on the shower tray and carpet (dog hairs??) which was a bit strange but it wasn’t smelly. Plenty of tea and coffee and the kettle and cups appeared clean. The ovation is quiet and the staff were nice. WiFi wasn’t great but that may be the location of the room. All this said I would stay there again at that price it’s a no brainer. If you’re in a rush to get to your room the stairs are faster than the lifts. I’m a bit claustrophobic and it takes a long time to only go 3 floors !!!

If you are looking for an affordable and functional hotel in Wakefield then this will be an excellent choice for you. The hotel itself feels a little run down and the staffing levels are minimal but it is ok. If you want to feel pampered, watch sky sports whilst choosing from an extensive menu in an enchanting bar environment then this hotel is not for you. However if you are looking for a good night sleep at a fair price without the thrills then the Ramada Wakefield is what you need.

Excellent bedroom with all the facilities we would want. Very helpful and polite staff, easy check in. Great breakfast and the BAndB package was at a reasonable price.

The property was fine. But on an icy day, the hotel did not grit the carpark and the walkways. It was an ice rink.

Great location, good value for money, great staff, unfortunately only issue was room wasnt adequately cleaned and had a number of stains eg on bedside table - if not for that I would give a 10/10 rating

Usually well priced low to medium quality chain hotel - great location for M1/M62 and easy access to Wakefield - ideal for our 1 night stay, visiting the area, requirements. Room clean, staff friendly, 24hr check-in and breakfast service good. Also a bar area for an evening drink.
