Great weekend at The Fleece. The staff were friendly and helpful even when things were really busy. Food was amazing. Will definitely go back!

Unfortunately luxury king bed room we had booked had problems with heating and the hot water so it was too cold to stay in, so we had to be downgraded to a compact double room, nice and warm by comparison, but the bathroom was through a door and down a few steps somewhat of an inconvenience by choice, evening meal although was lovely and plenty of choice for breakfast all cooked superbly so overall not a complete disaster

Lovely overall but attention to detail lacking with the cleanliness such as dust on radiators, extractor fan in bathroom dirty, skirting boards and inside window sills. Not wanting to blame the cleaner but maybe not given enough time to do it properly?

Hotel was a great location and the bar was great. Breakfast was nice but the full English could be bigger, you get one of everything, 1 egg, 1 hash brown etc… What let the hotel down for us was the cleanliness of the room. The bathroom was dated and unclean, the shower needed a good scrub and the kettle, coffee machine etc in the room were covered in dust. I asked about another room but they were fully booked so this was not available. It’s a lovely hotel but the bathroom needs updating and a good clean, this is is pretty basic.

Both restaurant and bar staff needed more training ( they were not familiar with names of drinks or liquor coffees. 3 main courses were not available on the evening we stayed and we were not advised of this untill after having made our choice, so it was very disappointing as this was meant to be a special occasion plus there was very little to choose from, so bad communication amongst staff.

Super option right in the middle of Cirencester. Close to buses and very comfortable. Spotty wifi, especially at night, and rooms get hot (windows open).

Title: Exceptional Experience at The Fleece! I recently had the delightful experience of staying at The Fleece in Cirencester, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we checked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Our room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The bed was a dream to sleep on, ensuring we woke up refreshed. We were also impressed by the high-quality toiletries from The White Company, which added a luxurious touch to our stay. Breakfast was another highlight—delicious and satisfying, it set us up perfectly for the day ahead. Additionally, the late check-out time of 11 am allowed us to relax a bit longer before leaving, which we truly appreciated. Overall, our time at The Fleece was wonderful, and we can’t wait to return. It’s a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, and we’ll definitely be recommending it to others! Thank you to The Fleece for making our stay so enjoyable!

We had a very lovely twin room. The room contained every facility you could wish for, and some. The food in the restaurant (including breakfast) was superb and the service throughout the hotel was second to none. Wanted to bring my husband next time for his birthday but the date is limited to a two night stay so very disappointed that this time, I can’t.

Comfy cozy rooms and friendly staff made a great home base for the three nights we were there. Well located in the town and easy to get around by foot.

Parking was expensive and off the premises. The food in the restaurant was terrible. I think the chef must have been taking a night off. Undercooked belly pork (replaced, but then appeared to have been grilled) and overcooked fish.

Stayed for the big Airshow, really helpful staff, very friendly. They even did us a take away breakfast at 6:30 am. above and beyond what we expected. The only draw back is no parking, but thankfully have a blue badge so not such a problem for us.

We had a lovely stay. The room was small, but comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the location was great for visiting various sights in the Cotswolds. Cirencester has a lot of nice restaurants.

Nice historic vibe. Friendly staff. Convenient to all of The Cotswolds.
