Room was nice , lovely big shower , and a big tv with free view , plenty of onsite parking ( free ), breakfast was nice once found some one to seat us

Nice and wasy

The heating wasn't great. The radiator was on full but hardly warmed the room..especially with the galeforce winds blowing. Apart from that the hotel was good

The main house is wonderful. The rooms are clean and nice but they are a little shabby. There was a hole in the ceiling in the corridor and I think mice in the roof. The breakfast was OK but the mushrooms were coid. It was a just above a budget breakfast. The receptionist is always welcoming.

Hi well where do I start the house is beautiful and staff and food amazing but staying here was disgusting mould in bathroom and spiders running on webs and room absolutely freezing think they need to refurb

We went in the bar for pre dinner drinks and tried to pay on the room and were informed this is not possible which was a shame and not usual for this type of hotel. Time for dinner was prebooked and we arrived and we’re shown to our table. Food was lovely but whole meal was spoilt at the end when my husband ordered a liquer coffee. After chasing 3 times and 45 mins we were informed they couldn’t do it. Shame and a waste of our time and also a shame again that bill could not go on the room. We left feeling very disappointed.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms slightly tired, nothing a luck of paint wouldn’t sort out.

Decent property. Rooms were clean and coffee provided. Would say this is 3/4 star as service don’t go extra mile e.g help with luggage or provide any refreshments. All in all decent hotel would recommend for short stay

Twin beds were comfortable Windows were rotting & mouldy, handles virtually broken. Shower strength very average. Some areas of room were dirty. Very noisy with lorries leaving from 03:45am, & delivery lorries arriving from 06:45am. Bar area lacking atmosphere, room impressive but spoilt by unimpressive furntiure. LADIES toilets for bar customers up on SECOND floor with no lifts available. Out of 4 toilets, two were out of action & one of the others didn't work!!!

The unit had dirty windows, skirting, wardrobe, drinks tray and table. The windows are hard to shut (timber) and the window catches are cheap and plastic coated. I do not like to a toilet that has been "repaired" with glue. The shower has the shampoo etc. bottles positioned in such a way to as they impinge you having a shower properly. This is a facility that is maintained on the cheap, more concerned in not spending money on its infrastructure, but saving it for a profit return. I will not be staying at any of its facilities again. All image and no substance

Peaceful and relaxing. £19.60 for a pint and a large glass of wine is a bit expensive!

The staff were really helpful,and the evening meal was excellent.

The main house was beautiful, a perfect setting for a wedding which unfortunately there was when we stayed. The dining experience of our first night was awful, people traipsing through the dining room with no regard for those of us trying to enjoy our meal and noisy unsupervised children playing in the nearby bar area made it feel like we were in a McDonalds rather than a 3 star hotel. The food was lovely and so were the staff who apologised for the noise and disruption but management really need to rethink the dining layout as it really does not work currently. We stayed in the first block of rooms, which were spacious and comfortable enough but tbe shower was dreadful with no real power.

We loved our stay, the staff were helpful on arrival and our room was easy to find. The room was lovely and clean, very basic, a bed and bathroom which is all required however bottles of water in the room would of been appreciated as when we located the bar no one was serving and we waited for 10 minutes and still no waitress so eventually left! The only the other thing is that when a wedding is on I believe there could be more staff making you aware to avoid the area where the wedding party are - we felt very restricted when trying to find our way to the restaurant/bar as the wedding was ongoing and we wanted to give them their space for their day. Other than that the stay really was lovely!

It was basic, and not worth the money. It was plenty adequate for an overnight stay, I was just disappointed.

Falling to bits. A hostel with a country house attached. Poor breakfast. Really didn’t enjoy our stay. Two single reds pushed together, sheets too small for the bed. Artwork in the rooms was sparse and poor. Just disappointing overall. Lack of care, lack of everything really.

Really nice outdoor area, a grand entrance and free electric car charging were a really nice surprise. However, room was on the small side, only one bath towel and hand towel provided although 2 of us confirmed on the booking. Breakfast was the biggest let down: quality of the coffee was really poor (from a machine) and the coffee pot that brought to the table was simply undrinkable. Hot breakfast consisted of dried up bacon and fried eggs, staff hardly making eye contact and unenthusiastic. Not worth £14 per person. Shame as this place has great potential.

Booking this holiday with Expedia turned out costly for us, we booked this hotel as it was dog friendly but when we arrived and they saw our dog they was you haven’t booked a dog but there was nowhere to prebook on the Expedia site. We didn’t mind paying £15 per night for dog but they also charged us £20 per night for having to change our room

Lots of free parking available. Breakfast was good but not great. Popular wedding venue on the weekend so bear in mind if booking for Saturday night
