The hotel is beautiful. It’s in a fantastic location. You have your choice of the lake or the sea. The staff is friendly and responsive. The breakfast was delicious.

not so charming hotel - 2 Star I booked three Superior rooms for a two-night stay for my family in mid-July. The hotel website advertised a pool and beach access, an important factor in our selection. In fact, while the hotel has a lovely garden and friendly staff, it does not have an actual pool – only a spa that can be booked for a fee. Guests who book through Expedia are furthermore excluded from access to the beach unless they pay extra because, we were told, that is only for the hotel’s guests which we apparently were not (we were invited to take it up with Expedia). The supposedly superior rooms (at 230 EUR/night) were standard at best and substandard in some cases (one of the bathrooms was so small that the open door grazed the sink; one of the TVs was a small computer screen) and the air conditioning was not working properly – a particular problem since we had a three-month-old baby with us. We spent the best part of the day chasing after the staff to get the air con up, with repeated assurances that it had been fixed while it had not. The next day my husband and I we were moved to another room while the others exchanged rooms among themselves so that the baby could stay in the relatively better conditioned room. Despite pleasant surroundings, facilities and services are not 4 star, and we felt grossly overcharged. will not return and do not recommend.

Situated on the edge of the picturesque lake and a 2 minute drive, 5 minute cycle from the beautiful stretch of golden sand coastline the hotel is perfectly located. The town is also a five minute drive. This really is a lovely, tastefully designed and furnished hotel located in a beautiful part of Sabaudia. The staff are delightful and very accommodating, and nothing was too much trouble. We dined on one of our two evenings at the hotel restaurant, the food was very good, service from the staff spot on and the ambience of the outside table settings so lovely and relaxing. The second evening we arrived late to the hotel and although it was too late to dine the kitchen staff went out of their way to prepare a lovely spread for us and saved the day! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, fully intend a return visit very soon and can not recommend this delightful hotel highly enough to anyone looking for a relaxing break in picturesque surroundings. A real Gem!

Hotel located far away from town but right by the water. Beautiful for a wedding.

Great hotel etc. but you need a car to get to it. It is also difficult to get to Sabaudia with public transportation

We stayed 2 nights in April, ( off-season ) The location is beautiful, on a brackish lake. The Hotel was built in 1960 in a Modern style. The dining room is lovely for breakfast. The room was compact with a sunset facing deck. Bathroom was excellent. There is a spa, but off-season was unusable. Beach is a short walk away. The town has fascinating architecture.

My wife and I specifically decided to go to this hotel because of the spa. But once we got there we were told that the spa was reserved for the evening for an event.

Just enjoyed a very relaxing and pleasant stay at this hotel! My best friend and I stayed here for a weekend. We live in the Netherlands and we're looking for a weekend away at the beach. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They did everything within their power to make our stay a pleasant one. We were able to check in early, which was very helpful. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the beach, which also has free umbrella and beach chairs reserved for guests of the hotel. The restaurant at the hotel served very good food. We ate at the hotel both nights. The first night everything was exceptional. The second night the staff or the kitchen must have forgotten our order as we waited over an hour for our first course to arrive. Only a simple "sorry for the wait" was offered. And sadly, the pasta was not cooked and inedible. As we had waited so long, we decided not to have a second one prepared. The rest of the meal was very good but it would have been nice to make a gesture, such a free bottle of wine or dessert, for the late and undercooked food. The room my friend and I had was small but comfortable. We had a balcony which added to the element of space. The bathroom was adequate however be advised that the shower is exceptionally small. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it.

Very pretty hotel and wonderful welcoming staff. We had dinner which was excellent as was breakfast. Wish we had time to stay longer.

This is a truly lovely hotel in an outstandingly pretty situation. We spent a relaxing few days here after the hustle and bustle of Rome and enjoyed both the beach and the lakeside. We would love to return and will probably hire a car as reaching the hotel by public transport proved to be a challenge. A real find!

This hotel seemed off the beaten tracks for tourists which is nice. It's beautifully decorated with an air of calm and the bedroom was peaceful. There is also a stunning lake with a deck stretching out to the water. Our first course of food was also delicious, the second not so great . Our main issue was some staff were hit or miss. For example at breakfast we weren't allowed to choose where to sit, we were forced to sit at a specific table although it was not busy. Then we tried to use the pool but the door was locked and a member of staff with unfriendly demeanour stated that the pool needs to be booked ahead, we weren't informed of this previously. For the comfort and quiet of the rooms, proximity to the beach this is quite good.

It is a little gem. Very elegant setup. The grounds were immaculate. The staff very helpful. Breakfast was nicely done. Wished we could have stayed a little longer.

The hotel is lovely. The grounds were so peaceful especially down by the lake. My husband and I had been on a five week tour of Italy and after all the running around we really needed the last few days to be quite and relaxing. The breakfasts were very adequate. The only criticism would be is the first night there was a wedding and it was a bit noisy in our room since the kitchen was below our room and then they were cleaning up well after 11:00. Reception said they e-mailed us to warn us but we did not get it. I'm not sure they should have charged 300.00 for that night when the next three days was only 235.00. I think there should have been some compensation.

The hotel staff was outstanding. They were able to accommodate my last minute changes and did so with a very pleasant attitude. The location itself can be a bit difficult to find as it did not show up on my GPS but we found it. The location is beautiful, looking out to a lake and picturesque mountain, and very quiet for a getaway. The beach which is close by is great and not overcrowded with tourists. The hotel has transport and beach equipment for use. The free breakfast buffet was tremendous and everything was very clean and well maintained. I cannot stress enough how wonderful the staff is from top to bottom.

A real find. Lovely location, excellent food, good room.

I cannot recommend this wonderful place enough. The setting is stupendous, the people were kind, generous and attentive. The only, and I mean the ONLY, thing I could complain about would be that the bed was somewhat hard. But that has actual been our experience through the rest of our stay in Italy. So maybe it's a cultural preference. Other than this relatively minor thing. It is not inexpensive, but it is very, very nice. Go and enjoy the splurge!

One of the best hotel I have seen. people who work there are very niceand helpful to all the cutomers needs. Simple word, I loved the place. The only thing I advice off, dont be in chock from the road... Its pumby but thw hotel worth it.
