We booked three rooms, all of which were unique. All, however, had at least one issue that took away from making this a great stay. The size of the room, noise, awkward layout, cleanliness, and almost broken door room locks were among the top contenders. For the price, the rooms were definitely below expectations. The front office staff were nice. The location is great.

Very helpful and friendly staff, we chose the mid priced breakfast which was more than we could eat. The small ryad style walled garden was very pleasant. The only downsides really are that a) there is no lift/elevator so you have to be comfortable carrying your bags up and down the stairs and b) it's really frustrating to find that although there is a coffee machine in the room, you are only supplied with a single coffee pod per person for the entire stay! This seems a quite ridiculous cost cutting measure, especially as the towels all seem to be changed each day (very unusual these days).

We originally booked a different room but were recommended to change the room if we wanted a balcony - we changed to the duplexe which was more expensive and we were lead to believe this garden would be private however it was a shared garden for all guests. If we came again we would stay in the main hotel. The room felt a bit dated and a little dark - with not much privacy due to the shared garden, there was an extra charge for coffee pods and no milk provided - for the price we paid we felt these could be included. Other than this the people at reception were very friendly and the location was great.

Room had a horrible smell of smoke, although it was a non smoking room. As we left two days early, the staff ask why we didn’t let them know about the smell of smoke as they would have changed our room. We told him it’s because the entire hotel smelled of smoke so changing rooms couldn’t change that. Them and Bookings.com would not refund my two days stay we paid in advance for and wouldn’t even respond to our request. Not a good business practice.
