The location is the only thing positive about the hotel. Nothing else was positive, the room was strange. Also I booked a room not a bed, I do not need a passive aggressive reminder in my room to only use one bed. Also the reception is strange, I don't care about overly polite charades but on the other hand if the guest stands there on the desk you can stop your private conversation for a moment and serve the guest.

Loved this place

We thoroughly enjoyed this place!! We got upgraded to a larger room because it was low season and it did not disappoint! The views of the mountain range were epic, the wine was affordable and the meals were all local produce with quality service. The hiking in the area is absolutely epic, just make sure you have a vehicle that can do some inclines and winding roads safely and you can take advantage of the whole scene. We would definitely stay again! :)

This place was certainly worth the drive up the mountain. It was so relaxed and welcoming. The room was basic but comfortable. As there are only a certain number of rooms there were not too many people about which meant there was plenty of space for everyone. The veranda was a fabulous place to relax, have a drink and watch the sun set on the opposite mountain and over the valley. The Dinner menu was varied from pizza to local fayre, everything with local produce, delicious. Great, attentive and friendly staff. Felt like we were on holiday.

Really enjoyed this mountain location, stunning views and sunset. Only remark is room needs air-con or fan in summer months.

Excellent home style Sardinian restaurant

A simple but lovely hotel with everything you might need for your stay. Other luxuries would simply distract from the amazing setting. Extraordinary views from the terrace and surrounded by mountain woodlands. A true oasis of tranquility! We ate in the hotel restaurant and were hugely impressed by the quality, all produce is locally sourced and it really shows! The drive up the access road is quite something but really just adds one more reason to stay in and around this incredible place.

Enis Monte Maccione is ideally situated if you want to hike the various trails of the Supramonte of Oliena. The hotel feels a little austere, like a spiritual retreat, but clean and well run, with an amazing room front terrace if you reserve any room in the 300's. The views are unbelievable and humbling, even.. The people who work at the hotel, for the most part, seem to have a deep appreciation and respect for this natural environment. The whole place seems to be run as a cooperative, so it all depends who is on duty at the time.

After many hairpins turns to get up the mountain to the hotel you are not inclined leave until you check out. Luckily they have a lovely reasonably priced restaurant on site. Half of the hotel has views of the valley. The half we we stayed in had a no view. The mountain was 3 feet from the window. A small fridge in the room would have nice. The hotel is very convenient for hiking planning to hike the mountain. Bring lots of water. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful in every way we asked.

Très bon séjour! Vue magnifique depuis l’établissement au départ de jolie randonnée ! Repas excellent et copieux ! Très belle découverte de la nourriture sarde.

Trovato per caso cercando un posto vicino per motivi di lavoro insieme alla mia famiglia,che dire non mi aspettavo un posto così bello immenso tra la natura che noi adoriamo.Tutto buono sia x la cena che colazione di tutto e di più,personale gentilissimo.E stato tutto bello.

Fantastic little hotel on top of a mountain. The drive up there is an experience, especially because our gps took us through the small village at he foot of the mountain with very narrow streets...But it is definitely worth the drive. Amazing view from the hotel and the food is excellent! Highly recommendable.

Das Hotel Monte Maccione haben wir schon zwei Mal aufgesucht aufgrund der Lage, der Freundlichkeit des Personals, des leckeren Essens und, Last but not least, weil sie Hunde akzeptieren. Das (sardische) Abendessen ist hervorragend, weil sie frische Regionalprodukte einsetzen und weil sie richtig lecker kochen können. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel sehr gerne.
