This riad was beautiful. The staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful stay. We did not want to leave! Jiscar and Sana and their staff took excellent care of us. Even though we left for tours early in the morning before breakfast, Jiscar accommodated us by serving breakfast a little early. I would highly recommend this riad. We hope to return to Morocco one day. We want to stay there when we return. This riad was also very close to some important sights and attractions in Rabat Medina, and it was close to the beach.

BEWARE! This property is not accessible via car, it’s very hard to locate this hotel. My taxi driver had to call the hotel, eventually after 5 minutes waiting on the road we were finally escorted by someone from the hotel and took 10 minutes walk through narrow alleys to find the hotel. Mind you that this walk was very scary, felt so unsafe! There is no way you can walk back to the hotel at night, looks very scary! Since we were at the property we decided to tour it, but absolutely not good, the room to house 3 people had 3 tiny beds and the stairs were so narrow. Just imagine dragging your suitcases through this narrow alleyway. We decided not to checkin since we felt not safe! We were scrambling to find another place to stay and started driving around, luckily we found Hotel Rabat, just a regular hotel experience where my taxi could pull right into their parking lot. We lost $300 for 2 rooms, but safety was #1. Even if Riad Kalaa 2 was for free, I wouldn’t stay at this place, absolutely unsafe! I hope it will help at least one person to make the right call. The description about Riad Kalaa 2 on Expedia is very deceptive, but instead glorifies it.

BEWARE this property is a long walk from the main road and takes you through narrow alleys to get there. It just doesn’t look safe and is dark at night. My taxi driver had to call someone from the hotel to take us there, eventually after 5 minutes someone from the hotel escorted to this place and it took more than 10 minutes walk to get there. Just imagine dragging 2 big suitcases along this alley, right there we were very concerned and hesitant about this place. It is very scary to walk through this narrow alley at night, it’s a long walk! Since we were there we saw the place and were totally convinced that there is no way we can stay in the place. The staircase was narrow and the room for 3 people has 3 tiny beds. We decided not to stay here even if we lost $300. This place is definitely not worth $170 per night. Also, the description on Expedia is very deceptive, it just doesn’t say anything we experienced but it glorifies it. We decided not to check in and started looking for a place to stay, finally we found Hotel Rabat for the rescue and ended spending a night at Hotel Rabat. Even if Riad Kalaa 2 was for free I wouldn’t stay here. I don’t care if I lost $300 (2 rooms), but one should feel safe.

We stayed in a tiny room where we had to walk sideways because it was so narrow. Also the internet was spotty and the television didn’t work. The stairs up to the bedroom were very steep. Other than that it was cute and had everything else.

This property is uniquely designed. Location is great, with you being easily accessible to everything. Staff could be more attentive to the guests. Upon arrival our hostess said should would provide things of interest etc, and never did, and seemed more interested in the phone calls than us.

We arrived at Riad Kaala 2, however there was no response at the door. Tried calling and permenantly engaged. Traced our steps back to Riad Kalaa (1) and tried to explain. Was told that 2 was closed during Ramadan and we were staying there. Riad Kaala is a fantastic place to stay but no communication and coukd see others being totally confused.

This hotel is stunning. The rooms are modern and comfortable. I only had an issue in that i wasnt informed that the hot water is shut off from a certain time to certain time so had to wait over an hour for the water to heat up on the night off our arrival...guests should be informed. Also carry cash for payment off the tourism levy. Other than those 2 items, our 1 night stay at the Riad Kalala 2 was amazing and by far the most stylish Riad i have seen throughout our stay in Morocco

Great hotel set in the Medina with friendly and helpful staff able to provide good advise on places to eat and points of interest. Room was great split over two floors with a lovely bathroom, sitting area and mezzanine bedroom. It's worth paying a bit more for a better room. The pool on the roof was small but beautiful. The breakfast was great. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Thanks to Amine and Phino We are very impressed with the Interior full of decorated arches and columns. Rood patio looks nice although we did have a chance to use it. A stair goes to mezzanine level without a handrail was not a problem to us but it is better to have it.

Modern hotel preserving traditional architecture in the heart of the ancient city. Personalised service provided by managers and staff made this and its nearby sister hotels a great place for a small team of people to use as a short-term project working base.

The rooms are beautiful and unique. You can tell its a boutique hotel and that a lot of effort and thought went into the decor. Most of the rooms have lofts, which is exciting at first but not good if you don't like having to go up and down the stairs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Our room was also quite hot and we could not find the remote control for the aircon. However, we slept ok and the room was spotless. Breakfast was really good and the location was convenient to walk to the various sights in Rabat. We felt the airport transfer of $22 was a bit expensive and tried to get a taxi ourselves. It was a complicated process and the taxi driver tried to take extra money from us so in the end we only saved ourselves $4. So, you might want to just go ahead with the transfer and save yourself the trouble.
